Keyboard shortcut for full bookmarking dialog? - 377 views

shortcut help suggestion resolved

I'm also missing this! (think I've mentioned this in another post aswell).
Sure, Ctrl Q and rapidbookmarking is nice, but I always bookmark different sites and need individual tagging each time, so I _always_ need the full bookmark dialog.

Considering usability this is also important to notice:
The full bookmark dialog _requires_ keyboard input, so activating this with the a keyboard shortcut would also be the most natural trigger.

Please, a shortcut for this is really needed! What disadvantage can this posibly introduce??

Thanks a lot for looking into this :)

    Maybe: CTRL + SHIFT + S ?
(like a form for "save". Easy to remember, and requires only typing with one(left) hand on keyboard..)
I remember this beeing used on the spurl toolbar, and worked quite well (and I guess no one use two toolbars)

when is speed improving? - 20 views

speed toolbar

I'm really excited about the diigo features, but I really miss the ability to access and search my organized bookmarks more effeciently.
Now, the web sollution is too slow, both for searching up and actually after clicking the bookmarks aswell (that shouldn't be an issue).
The easiest thing would be to improve the diigo toolbar to load the bookmarks, with similar technology as the deli.cio.us toolbar is able too.

Hope this is possible to improve, because I really want to stick with diigo.. But I'm about to leave because of this..

Anyway, thanks for providing this service.

Need info about whats updated in diigo FF toolbar - 13 views

toolbar

From time to time I notice that the Firefox toolbar is updated, and I look forward to see the new features.. But havent succeeded in locating where you provide info about the changes.
Maybe this should be made more visible some place?

I noticed after the latest FF toolbar update that flash elements on a webpage suddenly had i little flick named "clip it!"
I'm sure it's a great feature for someone, but it's only annoying me, and I can't figure out where to configure so that it doesn't show up. It's interferring with my visual webbrowsing and ruining the page design. (but I guess it's a small thing to fix this :)

What I really miss in the Diigo FF extension is improved search functionality like introduced in the diigo webpage, that my tags are suggested as I type. (I have configured the extension to search my diigo bookmarks as default)
Hope this can be implemented soon!

    Thanks.

The releasenotes made the clipit function more useful :) Still I prefer turning it off, so I'll wait for the next version to show up.

    About auto suggested tags:
I'm talking about the firefox extension. I have activated the search button (field) in the toolbar, and customized it to search my diigo bookmarks as default.
In my eyes this is the best way of accessing diigo bookmarks (searching by tags), and is more effecient than any other method. BUT it lacks the opportunity of suggesting tags (as you type) like the search-window in the diigo website.

I guess the search function in the toolbar maybe is intended for more general searches (if I recall right it's not even set to search the diigo bookmarks by default).
But that search function is really the best way of accessing diigo bookmarks in a quick and efficient.
(the "my bookmarks" button is really not useful, and requres to many clicks or "filtering". Accessing the diigo website is also too much effort when the extension window could give the search abilities right away..)
I guess what I'm trying to say: Please implement the search function like the one on the diigo website (with auto suggested tags as you type) in the extension.
Now I'm repeating myself so I'll stop there :)

    Thanks again
