I'm really excited about the diigo features, but I really miss the ability to access and search my organized bookmarks more effeciently. Now, the web sollution is too slow, both for searching up and actually after clicking the bookmarks aswell (that shouldn't be an issue). The easiest thing would be to improve the diigo toolbar to load the bookmarks, with similar technology as the deli.cio.us toolbar is able too.
Hope this is possible to improve, because I really want to stick with diigo.. But I'm about to leave because of this..
A new search is basically finished and already under internal testing. We expect a good speed improvement. Its estimated public release is around end of this month.
Will post a note when ready. Thanks for your patience.

I tested this del.icio.us toolbar/sidebar that you mentioned. I assume it loads the tags and the bookmarks titles into some local cache directory, because it is possible to browse for bookmarks and tags even when being offline and after closing and restarting Firefox. It must be some other cache than the Firefox cache because deleting the Firefox cache did not remove the data. Being online is required for making any changes to the bookmarks or just for looking at the bookmark properties.
An online solution can never be as fast as a local solution. Here they created a mix of both. Having worked with both del.icio.us and Diigo, I have to say that Diigo's Web interface is definitely faster than del.icio.us' Web interface. I guess this is why del.icio.us created this part online part offline solution.
