You can use the images as you wish ie. put them on your own website or blog. Please note, that direct linking to the newspaper clippings doesn't work; the images are deleted from the server after a short time span.

This website meets the standard 6.4 because the information it provides could help teachers to see in what area they need to change their educational practices, and they could do it through their own learning process. It is used to document and exhibit the progress of America's students in various areas over time. This website has so much to offer to educators! I have used it in several presentations that I have done in my other education classes; thus far, the information has been accurate and highly intriguing to myself and others.

The National Gallery of art website is a great technological resource for both teachers and students. There is a link to the exhibit of the week which focuses on a new artist or series of artists. Another useful tool is the artist database which makes it easier to look up any artist quickly and also have an accurate biography and list of works. There is also a fun section for kids to use where they can get ideas for art projects, read the online children's magazine for artists, and use a number of free software to create their own original art work.

The NAEA is great website that expands your knowledge about an art education career and a great example of the standard 6.4: Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. It provides learning opportunities for current and future art educators to expand their knowledge and to better their classroom. The community part of the website allows art educators from all over the USA to share ideas and strategies for their classroom. There are also grants and opportunities for students and teachers to earn money or more knowledge about art education. The learning tab gives lesson plan ideas. Last, the best part about this website is that it helps you start your career by finding a job.

6.4 Website of the Day - NEA - Lesson Plans - 1 views

  •
One of the best websites I found while researching Standard 6.4 was the National Education Association's Lesson Plan site. The site focuses on lesson planning and provides teachers with a number of strategies for whatever topic they need. Not only does the NEA provide ideas for lesson plans, but they also offer different strategies and support for inside the classroom. Even better- it's free! There is no sign up or membership requirements. This is an excellent site to advance a teacher's own learning process and update their educational practice.

Teachers Social Network (TSN) has the same concept as the ever popular Facebook. Teachers can create a free account, and begin chatting with other professionals about important issues or ask for help concerning a certain lesson plan. This website meets standard 6.4 because the information one obtains from chatting with other teachers is integrating technology into his/hers own learning process and is very likely to influence their teaching habits or change their current educational practices. Overall, this website is a good tool to get ideas and answers from fellow teachers.
