Using online, collaborative communication tools, teachers and school leaders can easily send messages to each other, with fantastic tools that allow users to 'turn off notifications', or turning on 'snooze mode'. Such features help in that messages only arrive when the user specifies, therefore eliminating the need to deal with e-mails when they arrive at a time when individuals should be resting."

A great wiki hosting service that offers free upgraded accounts to teachers.

A superb wiki/web hosting site with lets you create web pages for your class or school or use it as a Wiki and let your pupils/colleagues create and build the page together. This site is a cross of a virtual desktop and an online storage site. Store up to 100MB of files for free and access them across many different types of devices. http://ictmagic.wikispaces.com/ICT+&+Web+Tools

A site with a large collection of information on a variety of historical periods and regions. The site is mainly text and image based with a small set of video and audio clips and it is more suited to older students. http://ictmagic.wikispaces.com/History
