Mr. Picasso Head - 11 views

I created a Picasso-eque face - eyes on one side, ears too big, etc. It only took about 5 minutes and was a lot of fun. Fun, easy resource to use.

#6. Glogster EDU- This is a great way to incorporate the school into the home. This program allows teacher to show caregivers what is being done in the classroom (i.e. uploading class calendars, posting students' projects, etc.). If teachers post educational practice links, students are able to practice certain skills learned in the classroom at home. This program also allows parents to connect with the teacher, it will allow parents and teachers to communicate via blogs.

Wonderful that someone put together a list of the top ten tools for young children, their parents and teachers. Several sites would be helpful in working with young children or counseling are:

    1. Wordle - students could create a poster of words they know and continue adding new words.
    2. Yola - a user friendly software that allows teacher, parents, student to create a web site.to share information with others.
    3. Blogs - the KinderKids Blog published class projects that could be view by parents or serve as means of communicating with classrooms around the world.

This would be a great resource to use when counseling children. In conjunction with Art Therapy, the child could create characters to express themselves and situations. These could be saved, shared, and used to analyze the child's progress.

This would be a good site to use with toddler/preschool caregiver training. It is an organized module introducing one to the power of internet and presenting a variety of technologies. It is written so indivduals can complete at comfortable pace.

Photos Story 3 is a way to combine photos, voice recordings, music, and writing . Children can bring their favorite stories to life or create their own. By creating photo stories in the class or at home, these stories can be shared to many.

With Photo Story 3, students, parents, and teachers can create, share, and connect! Simply start by uploading your digital photos and editing them the way you like. Then add your own personal touches such as special effects, transitions, music, and even your own voice narration! Children will love being able to hear their own voices narrate their stories. After you have created your stories, share them with anyone online, by burning a DVD/CD, or watching them on your TV. This is a great way for students to show their creativity! Just download the program onto your computer.

Free, easy, creative tool for the user. Upload photos, add captions, your own voice as narrator, transitions. and music. Clear instructions too. What's not to like?

This is one of the easiest photo sharing tools I have ever used. The possibilities are nearly endless with this program. You can simply add pictures and share. OR you can: edit photos, add text, add music or voice, add special effects, and more. Children could easily use this with minimal assistance.

Photostory is unbelievably user friendly and could be used in any classroom to help a child integrate their outside of school experience inside the classroom. It's a good way to get children to learn about the way that other families live and it brings a sense of community to the classroom when a photostory is shared and everyone knows a little bit more about that individual.
