UBY is a large-scale lexical-semantic resource for natural language processing (NLP) based on the ISO standard Lexical Markup Framework (LMF). UBY combines a wide range of information from expert-constructed and collaboratively constructed resources for English and German. Currently, UBY holds structurally and semantically interoperable versions of nine resources in two languages:  English WordNet, Wiktionary, Wikipedia, FrameNet and VerbNet,  German Wikipedia, Wiktionary and GermaNet, and multilingual OmegaWiki.

Super Stream Collider (SSC) is a platform, which provides a web-based interface and tools for building sophisticated mashups combining semantically annotated Linked Stream and Linked Data sources into easy to use resources for applications. The system includes drag&drop construction tools along with a visual SPARQL/CQELS editor and visualization tools for novice users while supporting full access and control for expert users at the same time. Tied in with this development platform is a cloud deployment architecture which enables the user to deploy the generated mashups into a cloud, thus supporting both the design and deployment of stream-based web applications in a very simple and intuitive way.

The primary goal of the project is to construct an ontology that will model Idea Management Systems. However, we also devote to study in detail the appliance of the data schema onto existing systems and exploiting it to achieve real, measurable benefits.

This document specifies a vocabulary for describing projects independently of the project domain (e.g. software product development, fundraising, painting the garage). The intended architecture is primarily goal-oriented, that a project will consist of goals which may be broken down into subgoals and may be satisfied by completing a set of associated tasks. The vocabulary is constructed using the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and the Web Ontology Language (OWL). It may be used in conjunction with other RDF vocabularies such as FOAF or as an RSS 1.0 module.

Syntax and semantics of XProc: An XML Pipeline Language, a language for describing operations to be performed on XML documents. An XML Pipeline specifies a sequence of operations to be performed on zero or more XML documents. Pipelines generally accept zero or more XML documents as input and produce zero or more XML documents as output. Pipelines are made up of simple steps which perform atomic operations on XML documents and constructs similar to conditionals, iteration, and exception handlers which control which steps are executed.

The Thesaurus Project of the Geological Survey of Austria attempts the task of the construction of a controlled vocabulary for the semantic harmonisation of map-based geodata. The content-related realization of this project is governed by the Thesaurus Editorial Team, which consists of thematic experts from the Geological Survey of Austria. Currently there are 4 thematic thesauri available which reflect the basic information of geological maps: lithology, geologic timescale, geologic and tectonic units. All thesauri are available in both German and English* via an open web-application and standardised service interface.
