Knowledge Hives has been risen in the research community where contributing to the open source was a very common practice. We understand that in order to support the coming of third generation of the Internet (Web 3.0) a host of open source software needs to become widely accessible. Apart from our contribution to open source solutions delivered by others, a part of the mission of Knowledge Hives is to continue the research and development efforts of the Corrib.org group that has delivered many open source projects based on the research on the Web 3.0. In addition to publishing our own open source solutions and contributing to the existing open source projects, especially from the Corrib.org group, we provide commercial support that allows to leverage the potential of the open source software in more demanding environments, e.g., enterprises or large organizations.

Uberblic.org is an integration service for data on the web. It acts as a layer between data publishers and data consumers. It consolidates and reconciles information in real time into a central data repository, and provides developer APIs on top. We make this consolidated data repository available to everyone who needs access to integrated web data, ranging from web developers to large enterprises. In order to support data set owners to publish their datasets as Linked Data on the Web, as well as to support data consumers to access and integrate Linked Data from the Web, the LATC project has compiled a library of open source toolkits that cover all stages of the Linked Data publication (modeling, linking, serving) and consumption process (discovery, consolidation, application). By gathering high-quality open source tools in the form of a consistent library, we hope to lower the barriers to publishing Linked Data as well as to interacting with the Web of Data.

The objective of the Linking Open Data (LOD) community is to extend the Web with data commons by publishing various open datasets as RDF on the Web and by setting RDF links between data items from different data sources.

The Semantic Measures Library (SML) is an open source Java library dedicated to semantic measures computation and analysis. Tools based on the SML are also provided through the SML-Toolkit, a command line software giving access to some of the functionalities of the library.
