Information graphics, visual representations of data known as infographics, keep the web going these days. Web users, with their diminishing attention spans, are inexorably drawn to these shiny, brightly coloured messages with small, relevant, clearly-displayed nuggets of information. They're straight to the point, usually factually interesting and often give you a wake-up call as to what those statistics really mean.

Some things to think about if you are considering using infographics.

Infographic- The Internet in 2020. A lot there, but my browser allowed me to magnify it so I could read it better. Interesting trends. A lot of changes. A lot to worry about.

We might try this for making info graphics for our student newspaper

Great way to show data in a technology class. Appears to be very easy and user friendly. I might use this for our school webpage and suggest for online newspaper.

Science oriented flipped classroom

Really liked the link to this article to the infographic explanation of the Flipped Classroom.

This article explains how the author uses the iSearch model to teach research in class. The author also introduced the idea of creating infographics -- another way to expand our students' media literacy.

This article provides a number of new tools, but also explanations regarding their practical usage in any classroom. Newer ones include Ipiccy, Easel.ly, Infogr.am, InfuseLearning, BigHugeLabs, SignGenerator, Delivr, Aurasma, TheNounProject, and WeVideo. Others that are more commonly known are: Padlet, Thinglink, & PollEverywhere
