This site allows you to compare all the different wiki programs available on the web. Neat if you are torn between which one to use with a group/class etc.
This is a great site for creating a calendar in which people can put their dates they are available and you can easily find a date that works for multiple people. Loving it with my job that requires coordinating schedules.
If you haven't seen a glog, check this out. This one is on Web 2.0 tools. The key to remember is that you must scroll over each item in the glog. If a pink circle apears, then you should click the image and something else (video, website, audio etc.) will apear. Great example for how to use this tool!
Glogster allows you to create online posters. Everything you insert onto your poster can be hyperlinked to another site, video, music, etc. You can then publish your Glogster and provide others with the web address so they can view it.

The World Peace Game for fourth graders that sparks creative thinking in order to solve simulated world problems. This report came out last week and is the pk-12 2011 edition that describes "emerging technologies likely to have a large impact on teaching, learning, research or creative expression within education around the globe." The groups producing the report are the New Media Consortium and the International Society for Technology in Education. I highly suggest reading the executive summary which gives the trends and challenges predicted for the next five years. It then summarizes the six emerging (within five years) technologies that are the upcoming trends in education. The main report details each technology, gives examples for how each can be implemented in the classroom, and provides additional web sites as resources.
