Tagxedo is a website, similar to wordle, that helps students create groups of similar words in shapes. It is a fun way to check for understanding and make sure that students can put like words together.
This website is for math educators of all age levels. I like the math lesson plans that are available. The lesson plans are hands-on and will keep the students engaged. There are also several choices for fun games that students can play to review daily lessons.
this is an interactive site that can teach students their multiplication facts in a fun and interactive way. This is interactive with the Promethean Board also
Section of the Discovery website dedicated to all things gross - worm world, roach world, yucky and fun games, your gross and cool body. Very entertaining for students but still contains a lot of scientific info. Could definitely be used for a younger group of kids doing a science project on the human body, entomology, etc. Does contain a games section, so students will need to be supervised to stay on track.
A web site that has ads but also some great puzzles, videos from the cable channel and even games. You might get stuck in Whizzball. A rube goldberg type puzzle. Have fun creating and solving.
I would use this website to help students review different math concepts and it would be a fun way for them to learn about different cultures around the world.
Animoto kicks your slide show up a notch. I think that combining animoto, prezi, and youtube can really make presentations much more interesting- by teachers and students!
This is a great website it gives kids lots of different and easy experiments they can do on their own. The kids have quizes they can take and fun facts to look up. It's a New Zealand site but it's a lot of the same things that we teach here.
Great site. Loaded with videos, information for kids, as well as parents and educators. The kids section has games, downloads and other resources. I also liked the faith resources section. This could be used in schools with a religious background.
The site contains a parent resource center- hot topics, videos and tutorials (social networking, cyberbullying, etc..) family fun lessons that parents can conduct with their children, D.A.R.E. activity lessons. There is also games, wallpapers, screensavers, videos for online safety and a site for educators.

This website allows you to take elements from three different flags and combine them into something new. Have the students research the flags and the symbolism that they contain. Then they will have the opportunity to explain the significance of those flags as their own symbols.
Huge list of kid-friendly sites divided into categories: educational, fun sites, grownups (parents and teachers). This could be a great starting point if students are doing a project in which they have some choice of topic.
Fantastic site. Very interactive, fun and most importantly - educational. I could see using this site with elementary - middle level students. However, there are some applications that could be used as high as high school too.
This website is the best when students need to review geography of any location in the world. The software can be used on an individual or group level.
