The teacher can organize students into individual classes and create folders for students to access what it is you want them to utilize. There are great simulations, activities, and videos for students to explore.

This site offers chapter summaries and character descriptions to help students understand information from the text. There are also quizzes to assist students in studying for tests. This site is an especially useful resource in studying the works of Shakespeare, as it offers modern-day language translations.

This web site takes students through a scientific investigation about a large number of absences in a school district. Students work through the scientific method by looking at data, doing research, coming up with hypotheses, and drawing conclusions to determine what is making students in a school district absent. Very well explained for the teacher to implement.

This is a great website that can help motivate students in the classroom. This website allows them to develop ideas and work together to create projects. They have the opportunity for it to be selected and published. A great opportunity for the students to take ownership of their work.

Smartkiddies is a completely free math practice site out of Australia for students in K-6. After creating a teacher account, you can set up a class with usernames and passwords for up to 75 students per class. After creating a class, you can assign instructional videos, activities, worksheets, assessments, and enrichment opportunities. Progress reports and messaging are built in to help you monitor and communicate about student progress. Another great feature is the ability to practice basic math facts and concepts by competing against other kids from around the world.

2. artsalive.ca/en/resources/students.asp from the National Arts Centre in Canada, copyrighted in 2010, Pinchas Zukerman might be the director. He is definitely involved. It is an extremely comprehensive site dealing with music, dance, English theater and French theater. Students can watch interviews, research composers, listen to music and lots more.

The National Geographic website is a great resource for both students and teachers. The site has activities and games that students can use to help guide learning.

A good site for students and teachers both. Lots of activities for students to do like games and puzzles, and homework helpers. The teachers section has worksheets, reference materials, and information on programs and workshops.

I would use this tool in my math classes for all kinds of calculations. Students can use calculators, learn probability, and calculate interest. While the website would be helpful for students, it would also be very helpful (and fit perfectly) with the math curriculum.

I like this because it gives you a tutorial of what types of information works best for certain types of graphs. Then, your students can build their own graphs. You can easily take your lessons on graphing from being teacher-centered to student-centered.

Section of the Discovery website dedicated to all things gross - worm world, roach world, yucky and fun games, your gross and cool body. Very entertaining for students but still contains a lot of scientific info. Could definitely be used for a younger group of kids doing a science project on the human body, entomology, etc. Does contain a games section, so students will need to be supervised to stay on track.

For secondary students. My eighth graders love Bill Nye. This is a good web site for Bill's daily log and weekly quiz. Students will use their reading skill to follow the interesting science created on this website.

Kids section of the Tate Art Museums' Websites. Great place for K-6 art students to visit, though older students may find certain sections of the site interesting. Very visually interesting and plenty of activities and resources. Make on online gallery, play art-related games and watch videos about art for free. Contains links to Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St. Ives.

This site provides technological tools for students to modify pictures, play games and ideas on artistic expression. This is a great website to infuse technology into the classroom because it offers students a choice in what they would like to do.

If you have geocached you know this site. It is a great site for your students to explore the world near and far through the a giant game of GPS hide and seek. Students will learn map coordinates and programming skills when using a portable GPS unit.

Full Option Science System. Website for science teachers with online resources and online activities for students. Free with a teacher user/pass. Good smartboard and interactive activities students can participate in. Contains links or other info related to the topics for inquiry.

Tagxedo is a website, similar to wordle, that helps students create groups of similar words in shapes. It is a fun way to check for understanding and make sure that students can put like words together.

BitStrips is a website so that students can create comic strips. The user has the option of creating the characters, backgrounds, and text. Make sure to use the public version. If you try to use the educational version, it isn't free. All students need is an email address to begin. It's great because they can email you the comic strip.

This website is for math educators of all age levels. I like the math lesson plans that are available. The lesson plans are hands-on and will keep the students engaged. There are also several choices for fun games that students can play to review daily lessons.

This is an interactive site for young students, including content for most subject areas. It has great games to help kids have fun and learn.

This is a website over different subjects. There are many games and quizzes for the students to play and develop their knowledge. You can create different vocabulary list for your students to practice.
