Blogger is a free site for blogging. It is incorporated with Google, so if the user has a Google account, he automatically  has a Blogger account. This site (as well as any simple blogging site) can be used for students to publish their writing and receive a world-wide audience. Additionally, students can keep a reflection journal of their own progress, feelings, and questions regarding their learning. Finally, instructors can use blogs to communicate important information to their students as well as share their voice in an easily-accessed, asynchronous means.

Padlet is tool for asynchronous (or synchronous) posting of comments and images on a wall by multiple users.  This tool is much like a discussion board, but it's a bit more visually stimulating and motivating for students, as they get to choose where on the wall they will leave their note (kind of like a sticky note on a bulletin board). This also works great for department-wide discussions. Users do not need a login to post.

This chart shows how different iPad apps can satisfy different areas of Blooms taxonomy.  The chart shows the action words, adjectives, and applications for each area.   This chart offers ideas for technology for classroom teachers as well as the wording to use along with it.  I especially like the different apps for Analyse, many are new and useful for teachers.

German Teachers - check this out! This site offers a variety of free apps for the beginning language learner. On these apps the learner can practice a variety of vocabulary i. e. classroom vocabulary, food, basic conversational phrases etc.

Portfolios are a great tool to use in the classroom, especially in a more digital environment where everything is already on the computer. I think that this resource could definitely be something that could help teachers who are unsure of how to use portfolios in their classroom.

This is a great website. Web 2.0 tools divided into oral, listening, writing, vocab, language specific, IPad Apps, Android Apps, 21. C teaching and learning and more. What is great about this source that everything is neatly organized. Information includes cost of the tool, target audience, usefulness and ease of use rating.

Sabine, this is a great tool. I checked the apps for practicing listening skills and found a very interesting idea.I shared with my colleagues of Italian language.

This tool allows you to create an online portfolio that your students can take pictures of their work and add it to their portfolio, which you can access for free online.

Sabine, With regards to cost, it is free. I am unsure about how much storage that they give you to use on the site. That was something that was not talked about at the conference where I discovered the tool.

This tool allows you to build in questions and comments into a reading that the students can access outside of the classroom. The students can communicate within the readings to respond to questions to help check understanding and comprehension of assignments.

This is a "trilingual index of expressions with equivalent meanings" in English, Spanish, and French/Québécois. The colorful idioms are often difficult to translate directly, so this resource is very useful and fun!

A free online tool that students can use to create animated voice presentations for the classroom.

I will have to implement this tool next time when I create comic strips. What a neat idea, interactive, fun and free.

I like this tool, I have seen teachers in my school use a program similar to this one, but for some reason I can't remember the program. These can be fun for the students to use because it is something different than the normal PowerPoint that they complete for assignments.
