TM stands for TranslationManager/2. TM/2 originates from the IBM TranslationManager tool and has been made available to the open source community. TranslationManager/2 is a computer-assisted translation system (CAT) that automates repetitive tasks, freeing the professional translator to attend to the finer points of translation that require the judgement of an expert. TranslationManager/2 helps accelerate turnaround time and save money in overall translation costs. It does not only help you tackle the vast amount of translation needs efficiently, but also frees you from tedious routine work inherent to translation projects. This website should help you to understand the strength of TM2 and the most important features as well as to get you a fast access to the tool.

"TortoiseGit is a Windows Shell Interface to Git and based on TortoiseSVN. It's open source and can fully be build with freely available software. Since it's not an integration for a specific IDE like Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse or others, you can use it with whatever development tools you like, and with any type of file. Main interaction with TortoiseGit will be using the context menu of the Windows explorer. TortoiseGit supports you by regular tasks, such as committing, showing logs, diffing two versions, creating branches and tags, creating patches and so on (see our Screenshots or documentation). It is developed under the GPL"

Julio, encontré este alineador gratuito. Sin embargo, no puedo echarlo a andar. ¿Podrías intentarlo? Gracias.
  •

Linux for Translators - Aligners - 0 views

  •
Most commercial translation memory applications now include an aligner as part of a suite of tools. Aligners are used to produce translation memory files (e.g. in the industry-standard TMX format) from legacy translations and their corresponding source files. The resulting file can then be used within a translation memory application, which provides easy access to the source/target segment pairs in the translation memory file. Although the advantage of aligning relevant legacy texts is obvious, a major drawback is that such tools generally align non-intelligently. Where the source and target texts have different numbers of segments (e.g. because at some point, the original translator merged two sentences to form a single sentence in the translation), the resulting translation memory file is misaligned. Aligners generally provide an interface through which such misalignments can be corrected manually. This can be a time-consuming process, however, and is usually worthwhile only when the legacy translation is known to be useful, such as when the original source text has been modified and a new translation of it is required.

Simple Concordance Program - 0 views

  •
You can generate concordances, and search for words or phrases. You can produce both KWIC and Line-Based concordances. The words used can be highlighted in context or contracted. Left and right context sorting can be achieved. The concordances can be printed or saved to files. You can save concordances in html to display on the web. You can create word lists, which you can sort , print, or save. Sorting can be done in ascending or descending alphabetic or frequency order. You can specify words and phrases using a prefix, a suffix, specific words, or using a pattern. You can select a group of words from which to produce your concordances and word lists. You can exclude words using a stoplist. You can display statistics of letter and word-frequency usage. You can define the method of reading text, the types of symbols used, together with their collating order and style of embedded text references. Many text files already exist in forms that SCP can handle. Several sample files are included in the SCP download.
