There are definitions, evaluations, and characteristics of individuals with special needs. There is information on how to help them academically, socially, emotionally, behaviorally, etc. There is also information on job tips to give these individuals and daily living skills to help with. This site is good for very young children and students who speak English as a second language. It has the options to learn the alphabet, numbers, movements, shapes, colors, foods, transportation, household words, and much more. With each of these words comes a pictures, a word, and a little video to click on to hear the correct pronunciation of the word. There is also a category for just random words and objects too. This site is good to teach toddlers and ESL students.

This website is the largest one-stop professional educational portal in Hong Kong. It is operated by the Hong Kong Education City Limited, a subsided company by the Hong Kong government. The portal incorporates information, teaching resources, interactive communities of teachers, and online services that are free to teachers. The main service of the site is to provide the use of information technology to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning. The site is of great value not only to the Chinese teachers, but to all of the K-12 educators of other subjects. The website is constructed bilingually, so both Chinese and English users will find it easy to use.

A great place for Chinese teachers to share their teaching experiences and resources. It has a collection of professional blogs, forums, e-learning classes, training courses, and E-book stores. All of the information can be used to better learning and teaching Chinese. However, the website is constructed in Chinese. That means one will have to have some levels of Chinese reading to be able to browse through the site.

This is a fantastic site for educators, families of students and students alike. Technology is a vital global (in the developed areas) piece of education and technological literacy is a necessity. There are tools for how to incorporate technology in the classroom. A side-bar menu full of varied topics ranging from the broad rubric-creation site to the more specific ELL tools/tips.

Outstanding site! Too bad I didn't have this my first year. I'm bookmarking it and using anyway. It has how to incorporate technology into your classroom, grade specific activities, links to get science apps, blogs from other teachers. There's a lot of information on the page and many links to follow. If you're looking for ideas or want to revise your current methods whether classroom management or incorporating new techniques and/or technology this site would be a great place to start.
