Kids Rules for Online Safety (for pre-teens) | SafeKids.com - 0 views

  •
These rules are aimed mostly at pre-teens. It is now very common, and generally safe, for teens and even older pre-teens to upload pictures and information about themselves on social networking sites, however caution is still necessary to make sure that posts, images and videos are appropriate.

What is the flipped classroom? - 0 views

  •
A website with a pros and cons list of the Flipped Classroom. It is displayed in pictures and graphics. After the pros and cons list the websites author went through and dissected all of the cons, in a kind of mocking way. So, the website is pro-flipped classroom. But, I did like the way the information and facts were visually displayed.

Debating the "flipped classroom" at Stanford - 0 views

  •
A Stanford student enrolled in a online version of a class and posted a blog about his dislike of the course. He would rather have live classroom lectures, felt as though he wasn't being challenged, and thought that if all classes turn to this that their tuition should be lowered. There were several rebuttals to this blog post in favor of flipped classroom and talking of professors that offered a mixed live and video classroom.

This is a website through the San Francisco Symphony for kids. There is an entire section for instrument families, a tempo game, and some note name reviewing games. I like the way it introduces instrument families and the sound clips available for each instrument of the orchestra. I also like the way it shows an orchestral seating chart for older students.

This website is for teachers to link with other teachers. There are forums, blogs, and many other resources. There are many options for teachers to use, as well as many links to other informational and educational websites. I did notice a few pop up ads while browsing through the site, so I see that as a downfall.

I like the way that this site is laid out. And I really enjoyed the resources available for teachers and students. One aspect that I liked is the worksheet generator. I am always looking for easy ways to create fun worksheets based on musicians and music terms.
