What I took away from this article was that in my classroom I should create a cooperative, stable environment that provided enough time and space to focus student energies on doing science.

I would use this in the classroom by having students actively do science and have them share what they found with the class. This would set a foundation to show them they can be successful in science and can motivate them to learn proficiency in science. Once they know they're good at something they'll put more time and effort into developing that skill.

I liked this site. It's geared toward parents but makes suggestions of where to put the computer in your home to prevent teens from accessing inappropriate sites. It also gives you conversation starter tips on what to say to your children to keep them safe online. There are also videos you can watch about internet safety and the importance of keeping personal information private.

This website had images with text, videos, and interactive experiments students could perform to learn about covalent bonds and how they work.

Outstanding site! Too bad I didn't have this my first year. I'm bookmarking it and using anyway. It has how to incorporate technology into your classroom, grade specific activities, links to get science apps, blogs from other teachers. There's a lot of information on the page and many links to follow. If you're looking for ideas or want to revise your current methods whether classroom management or incorporating new techniques and/or technology this site would be a great place to start.

Great material to lead new concepts with. Have students build, test, then discuss the physics behind it. This will be my new fav next year.
