This site is easy to navigate and is a good resource for internet safety.

Khan Academy and the Effectiveness of Science Videos - 0 views

    The person narrating this video is talking about the video he made for some of his students to do involving physics. Students took a pretest and then based on their answers were directed to varying videos to explain answers that students got wrong. After students watched the videos they retook the same test. He found that there was no difference; students scored 6/26 both times. The narrator found that using students in the videos helped increase scores on the post-test.

There are a lot of subjects for students to choose from. They are humanities, english, math, chemistry, language learning, geography, sciences, and test preparation.

    Fun Brain has math, reading, and fun activities for students to do. It looks to be for the elementary level. Besides games it also has books and comics for students to read. The website is very easy to use and is very welcoming to elementary aged students.

    This website has a variety of free lessons from different universities. Some of the universities are Yale, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, and MIT. There are different categories that students and teachers can browse through. On the main page there is a tutoring link that has different videos to teach the quadratic formula and factoring. This is a great source for teachers and students.
