Last night I read BABYMOUSE ice skater. I read the whole book. Babymouse decides to go ice skating with her friend Wilson the weasel. At the ice skating pond when babymouse was ice skating the ice cracked and she fell in to the pond. The next day she went ice skating again and there was a ice skating coach there and the coach asked Babymouse if she would be on her team. Babymouse said yes and the next day she went to practice. She had to get up at 5am and she would have to go from the rink to school. After school she would also have to go. After a week babymouse quit ice skating.

Last night I read My Basmati Bat Mitzvah. Tara went dress shopping and it didn't go well as always. Her mom wouldn't let her wear her Sari. Tara's grandma came to visit. She had to go to Hebrew school on the weekend.

I am reading Flora & Ulysses. One character from my reading last night is Ulysses. Ulysses is a squirrel who got sucked unto a vacuum and now he has a special power. He gets very hungry a lot. Last night I read My Basmati Bat Mitzvah. One character from my reading last night is Tara. She is Indian and Jewish. She's a really big tomboy and dosen't like to wear dresses. I kind of like but I also don't like her because she can be annoying. She is the main character.

A strategy that use in my reading to help me figure out a word is to read the sentence after it. If I don't know a word sometimes I'll read ahead and try to figure out what the word means. If that dosen't work I sound out the word and say it and the break it into words and figure it put by that.

Last night I read My Basmati Bat Mitzvah. I am on page 56. A reading strategie that I used was sounding out a word and reading the sentence that goes with it. The word was advocate. I didn't know how to say it or what it ment. So first I sounded it out and I figured out to say it. And then I figured what it ment.

Minli asksed, "you never visit her, she only visits you? And that she knows things like where the king might be tomorrow? Who is she, really?. The buffalo boys response kind of means that he likes her.

I am wondering if Minli's parents with find her?, Will the monkeys catch Minli? And Will she ever get her fortune?

Last night I read The Hunger Games MockingJay. Last night I read chapter 4 of it, Kattniss is in district thirteen with her sister and her sisters cat. The capital is trying to kill district thirteen bombs. They are in the emergency room at the last floor. Kattniss is logging live from it to the capital.

Last night I read Flora And Ulysses. I am on page 33. Flora was standing text to the squirrel and all he could think about was food. So he picked up the vacuum and wiggled it. Flora stood there with surprise. All the squirrels hair was in the vacuum cleaner. Flora picked it up And went inside. She thought about the name of the vacuum and then said Ulysses to the squirrel Flora name the squirrel Ulysses and went inside. She stood right behind her mom who was typing on a type writer and sucking on a Pitzer Pop. Floras mom said "go wash her hands" to Flora. Flora was suprised that her mom didn't see the squirrel.

Last night I read Flora & Ulyesses. I am on page 76. Flora's friend came over and they walked over to her hours with Ulyesses. She got something and put it in front of Ulyesses. He started to use it and she fainted. She was sitting on the couch with frozen peas on her head. After that they had to go back to Flora's house to meet her dad. Her mom saw the squirrel and right then Flora's dad came in. Her mom said "Get that diseased animal out of my house!" Flora's dad said " what animal?" She said " the squirrel!".

I found 2 pieces of figuritive language. One of them is on page 1 it is, there was once a black mountain that cut into the sky like a jagged piece of rough metal. I chose this because I thought that it was really descriptive. The second one is, the few white grains left sat like precious pearls at the bottom of her bowl. I chose this because I thought that it shows meaning since they were very poor aand rice was their only food.

Last night I read the Hunger Games MockingJay. I found Sissy in it and it means sister in Xhosa and it was a name. That got me very interested. I also found expressionless wich was also very interesting. I also found Downing wich was a last name.

Last night I read Dairy Of A Wimpy Kid dog days. Some good word choice is Rodrick. I thought it was a unique name. I read 30 pages. There is about 200 pages in the whole book.

Last night I real Flora And Ulysses. Some good word choice is Holy Bagumba. I have no idea what it means since it's not in a dictionary. I thought that Ulysses was a interesting name. Ulysses is a a name in the book.

I found a text-to-self connection in the book The Hunger Games MockingJay. The self to self connection was, Kattniss likes to be very tuff and sometimes I like to be tuff too. There was also another part when she went to go save her sisters cat. And Kattniss is a lot like me in a lot of ways. Like when she always try's to do stuff when she can't do it.

Last night I read The Fourteenth Goldfish. I found a text-to-self connection with Ellie that she doesn't like to get in trouble. I found another text-to-world with Ellie's grandpa that a lot of teenagers eat a lot. I found another text-to-world with Ellie's grandpa that teenagers also sleep a lot. I finished The Fourteenth Goldfish.

Last night I read Flora And Ulysses. I have a text-to-self connection with Flora. My connection with flora is that she doesn't like to be called Flora Belle. I don't like to be called different names. I have another text-to-self with Flora. Her mom calls her Flora Bell and my mom calls me Bell sometimes.

Ali found a old photo with her mom and her aunt as a kid. A part of he photo was torn out Ali was trying to find out who was in the picture. And then she met Sissy, Sissy is a mean and obnoxious girl.
