    Last night I read Frindle. A good word choice was bright sun,cool breeze, blue sky I think that the author really draws the reader into the story. Ex: It was a beautiful September afternoon, bright sun, cool breeze, blue sky. I am on page 33. Chapter six.

    Last night I read the hobbit. I like some of the word choice because some of the made up words don't mak sense. Some of the words I dont know is: smaug, Gandalf, hobbit and aurg. I have almost finish this book made by Tolkien. I recommend this book.

    Last night I read the book Hoot. Instead of saying little kids they said youngsters. Instead of saying probably they said approximately. Instead of saying cars they said vehicle. I think these words make the book more interesting. I left of on page 126.

    Last night I read the candy makers. Some good word choices were grumbled, glancing, freshly . A example was finally Philip grumbled, glancing at his watch. Some other words were shifted and genuinely. Another example was daisy shifted her weight to her other leg.

    Last night I head Diary Of A Wimpy Kid The Third Wheel. Greg was having trouble with his brother Manny. Manny was scared to come down the slide and it was time to go. So Greg had to go up and get Manny. All the kids were there getting in his way so he was having trouble. Some good word choice I found was the word ventilation. I think that that is an interesting word.

    Last night I read the Books of umber #1 Happenstance found. Some good word choice was: writhed, apparition, permissible, explicitly and reign. Those are good words because instead of saying normal words they are words that you don't here that much.

    What I am wondering is how Percy is going to stop Typhon the thing that got the most close to destroying the gods away from New York? My book is very interesting so far the plot of the book is to kill Kronos and save Olympus! Right now all the demigods are heading to the huge army to fight them while Silena is trying to convince the Ares cabin to come and fight. I am reading The Last Olympian and I am on page 242! Some of the good word choice was, disturbing, pale and snickered. I think it is good word choice because instead of saying a white color saying pale makes the reader picture it better. Also with disturbing instead of saying weird saying disturbing hooked the reader. It also does that with snickering because instead of saying laughed lightly snickering is better word choice.

    Last night I read Kingdom Keepers Disney in shadow. When I left of around page 500. Malifasent was I the form of a ugly vulture. The description was really good I could imagine it as if it was right in front of me. A dragon possibly Chernaborg was about to blast Finn with his flame breath. The dragon sounded scary. The Kingdom Keepers are the only things that can save Finn. I hope Finn doesn't get blasted with the flame breath.
    The word choice is really good instead of big the book said gigantic.

    Last night I read the Hunger Games MockingJay. I found Sissy in it and it means sister in Xhosa and it was a name. That got me very interested. I also found expressionless wich was also very interesting. I also found Downing wich was a last name.

    Last night I read the star of Kazan. I was sad because Annika's " grandmother"( who was really the bully in towns great aunt, but Annika befriended her.) Died. I am predicting that Annika will get a few priceless jewels! Some good words that the author wrote were: carp and basting.

    Last Night I found the word "striaton" I'm not sure what it Means but I think it's like layers. It's in the chapter Demon Striaton when Threnody escapes Jordan by becoming smoke. I think the sentence "you've never seen lying until a demon does it. A demon summons the stork and it delivers it to the king who summoned it with her he didn't know it was a demon and right after they did it she turned into a croc-o-dile and then turned with a puff of smoke. It delivered it to him right when everybody was there and watching.

    Last night I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm at page #566. Some good word choices that I found were immense,bellowed,and tightened. Word choice is very important because book would not be very interesting,and what's a book without good rich words!!

    Last night I read A Wind In The Door a sequal to A Wrinkle In Time. I just read that a man showed up in the Murry's garden and said to Charles Wallace, Meg and Calvin that he was there teacher. Some ingesting word choice I found are Polarizabilities and Hyperpolarizabilities and also that there is a cheiribum but it is not the normal kind of cheiribum it looked like a group of dragons!

    I read big Nate game on last night. Some good word choice in the book was when Nate said he was outraged instead of mad when they lost there baseball game. When Nate got a better grade than Gina she was furious. The author used furious instead of mad.

    Last night I did not kingdom keepers but... Prince Caspian. It has interesting vocabulary. Instead of Lucy was crying. Lucy was crying bitterly. To me that is very interesting. But I am thinking does that mean she was crying hardly? I wonder? If you read it I hope you like it.

    Last night I read INSURGENT. Fours mom died so everyone thought. Then they found her she is a factionless woman. Some good word choice was the word uncharacteristically I thought that was a pretty big word. So I had to look it up on word smyth. To find out what it meant.

    Last night I read the Twits. I found good word choice when they were disscribing a frog. They said we what is this mushy, gushy, slimy, thing. I also found good word choice when mr. Twit was disscribing the worms in his salad this feels really mushy and slimy. I left off in the middle of the book.

    Last night I read the alchemist.
    Some word choice I liked was: It smelled like rotten eggs and peppermint, instead of: it smelled like a really bad smell.
    Mr. flemel had just told josh and his sister that every human being has an aura. I recommend this book because it has a really good ending. FIN.

    Last night I read Emily Windsnap and the siren's secret.I got to the part were Emily met up with Mandy Rushton (witch is not good.) so far Mandy has not been that mean. Some good vocabulary was "Emily flew across the golden sand."

    Last night I read The Vile Village by Lemony Snicket. Some interesting vocabulary that he used was fluttered instead of flew. Gaped instead of stared. One of my favorite ones he used was joyous instead of happy. FIN.

    Last night I started reading the second book in The School for Good and Evil. A World without Princes. Some good word choice I found was buffoonery, proportion. They found the school of good and evil Agatha and Sophie figured out that they were changed to the school for girls and the school for boys. If you read the book you can figure out why:) Mrs.D you should read the school of good and evil it is really really good:) I am on page122.

    Last night I read The Gossip File. I read 18 pages. I found a word that I didn't understand. The word was mere. I also found an interesting word that was nonessential. I like how he said nonessential instead of not.

    Last night I read Pegasus and the Origins of Olympus. I am on page 239 chapter 24. Some good word choice that I found was flaming sun, brilliant blue sky. I think the author really draws the reader into the story. Example: It was a peaceful morning on Xanadu the flaming sun was burning, and the sky was brilliant blue.

    Last night I read Spy School some good word choice that Stuart Gibbs used was slimy instead of gooey and instead of told he used informed. Instead of saying the car backed out he used the car peeled out.

    Last night I read part of Firestars Quest. I read that Firestar and Sandstorm met a cat named Moony and are now trying to talk to him and see if he is a warrior from SkyClan. Some intresting word choice is how the authors use mewoed instead of said. I really recommend this book for people who are not big cat lovers. It is a great book!

    Last night I read Matilda.Some hard words were carbuncle and innocent. I just finished it and it ends with Matilda going to Miss Honey's house. And then Matilda had to go back to her house but her parents said they had to go to Spain but Matilda didn't want to go to Spain so she stayed with Miss Honey.

    Last night I read Hoot. I found good word choice when they were disscribing Mullet Fingers cut. They said it was big, mushy, gushy, bruised, and disgusting. I also found good word choice when the were disscribing the puppy. They said the puppy was tiny, fluffy, and adorable. I left of in the middle of the book

    Last night I finished Hatchet. Brian got out of the Canadian forest. Bye going to the plane and sending a signal for help. Then a plane stoped bye and rescued him. It turns out the search and rescue stoped looking for him. So if he had not done something to get himself of the island he would have been there forever.

    Last night I read the Hobbit and some good word choice I found was mended instead of fixed, gruesome instead of bad, deserted instead of forgotten. The Hobbit is a really good book and I suggest that 4th and 5th graders should read it. I am on page 61.I have a question for Mrs.D, have you ever read the Hobbit, if not you should.

    I read Wind Waker last night and there wasn't really interesting word choice. But the the way it went was interesting. He had to use mirrors to find mirrors. Medley and Link use there mirrors to help. And it's good Duck girl can fly.

    I am reading The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader. It is a good book I am not very far into it but I have read enough to do this. The book has good vocabulary. Such as the waves were crashing against the boat and the wind was howling. I think that it is very interesting and you should read the book. I recommend it if you like adventure, fantasy, hope and happiness with a little bit of talking animals. That is all for now.

    Last night I read Hathchet.And Brian is trying to find the safety kit from the plane that crashed in the water and he has to fit through a hole and it is really hard to find the safety kit.But soon he finds the safety kit and it has a lot of really good things in it.And later the plane lands and he is safe!I have 3 more pages until I am done.

    Last night I read Warriors, Eclipse. Some hard words are turmoil and wretched. I read that Hollypaw, Lionpaw, and Jaypaw discovered their powers. Then Cinderpaw hurts her injured leg again and Leafpool is desperate to make it better. Meanwhile Tigerstar and Hawkfrost do not believe the prophecy. It is a great book!

    Last night I read "Hatchet", and I finished it.
    A word that was hard was "transmitter".
    He found a nylon bag that had a TON of loot if you where living in the wilderness.
    He found: Food, Aluminium frying pans, A 22.m rifle, a emergency Transmitter, And a aid kit.
    This book is a good book to read if you want to read an non-realistic non fiction.

    Last night I started Allegiant. Some good word choice I found was particular, narrow, and hotheaded. Tris is conformed not a a enemy. It is a really good book so far and I recommend it but if you read it I would read the first and second book first. I am on page 14.

    Last night I read ALLEGIANT. Tris and Four had to our smart his mom to get outside the fence they did. It took a long time but they finally found a way. Read the book to see how they did it. When they got outside the fence Tris met people and they had a picture of her mom. Her mom is dead so she didn't understand. Then she realized her mom lived outside the fence before she broke up into factions. I'm on page 37 I recommend the book a lot .

    Last night I read Mysterys According To Humphrey. I think that a text-to-world connection is that people go missing like Mrs. Bristbane. I get why it is called Mysterys According To Humphrey. Mr. E is a mystery but I get why. On his first day of teaching kids they never listened to him and the threw appear at him when he tried to give homework assignments so that is why he did not do teaching how he should have. Some good work choice was Mr. E is a mystery.

    Ben has just taken his SACSA and got in a D.
    Ben has never gotten any thing lower than a B in his life.

    Last night I read the Flordia Gators.The Flordia Gators are a basketball team in the NCAA Which is college basketball.They gave won 2 national championships,3 of some of there best players ever ever ar Joakim Noah,Corey Brewer and Al Horford.There coach right now is Billy Donavan.The 2 National championships that they won were in 2006 and 2007.( 2 years in a row) Joakim Noah,Corey Brewer and Al Horford all played on both of the National Championship Rosters.I just finished the book,It is Very Good!

    Last night I read Majora's mask. And some weird word choice was in chapter 6 Link said "Tatl you have no heart" then later in the same quest he said "Tatl you've got a big heart. Also eases instead of that relaxes me. Another is regret instead of I take it back. And shame instead of failure and disappoint.

    Last night I read THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL. I am on page 354. Some interesting word choice was eclipse. Sophie is having her first Nemesis dream (a person that is good that a Evil person has to try and kill and the Evil person won't be satisfied till that person is killed).

    Last night I read Because of Mr. Terupt. Some good word choice I found was vast, constant and cycle. I think Rob Buyea really makes me want to know the characters in the book. He also makes me want to read all the time. I am on page 235 and I have about 33 pages to go.

    Last night I read the wizard of oz the graphic novel. One good word choice was " demolished". Right now they are seeing Oz for the second time. He had just asked them "Did you really kill the WIKED WITCH OF THE WEST? Another word choice is "throughout"(I don't see that word that much). This one is very different from the original.

    Last night I read True Legend and Drew is about to play the biggest game of his life vs.Park,(his teams worst enemy) In the game Drew plays really well! And his team is up by about 7 points at half time.But Park catches up mostly because of park's best player King Gadsen.Near the end of the game Drew's team is winning by 3 points but then King Gadsen draines a 3 pointer to tie the game.Drew gets the ball with 12 seconds left and with about 3 seconds left he almost loses the game,but then throws the ball of of King Gadsen's shoulder to Lee,his best friend who makes the layup and Drew has the game winning assist!I finished the book and it was really good!

    Over the weekend one of the books I read Percy Jackson and the Staff of Hermes. I read that Percy and Annabeth head to get Hermes's staff back from Cacus. They found him in a sewage tunnel and Percy exploded the sewage pipes (ew). Then Cacus got mad and chased them on to train tracks all tho Percy and Annabeth found a crane so Annaabeth got in it and Percy lured Cacus into the track and Annabeth used the claw and picked him up and Percy shot him. A intresting word is thrall.

    Last night I read "the Vale of the Vole". And interesting word choice was the word "Glades".I'm not sure what it means but it might mean something like forest or swamp. Also the word "enhancement". I think it means like upgrading but I'm not positive.
