1 figuitave language was on page #1. It is when the author says that there was a black mountain that cut into the sky like a jagged piece of rough metal. I chose that one because I liked the word jagged. Another one I found is on page #11. The seance is the mud stuck to their feet like glue. I chose it because I liked the sound of it.

I have 2 figurative language. The first is on page 1 it is far away from here, following the jade river, there was once a black mountan that cut into the sky like a jagged piece of rough metal.
The other one is on page11 and it is the mud stuck to there feet like glue

One example of figuitave language was on page one, "a black mountion that cut into the sky like a jagged piece of metal. I choose that one because it make you picture it really well. Another one on page two was the roof made one think of matches tied together with twine, I liked that because it sounded unusual.

One of the figurative language examples was "His black eyes sparkled like rain drops in the sun". I chose this example because I really thought it was a really nice example. On other one is "That she felt like a old crab crawling on rocks". I chose that one because sometimes I feel like that when I work really hard on something.

My first one is a simile: his black eyes sparkled like raindrops in the sun. I picked that one because I could imagine his eyes glitter and shine. My second one is a simile too: a black mountain that cut into the the sky like a jagged piece of rough metal. I choose that one because I imagined a endless dark and deadly mountain.

I found 2 pieces of figuritive language. One of them is on page 1 it is, there was once a black mountain that cut into the sky like a jagged piece of rough metal. I chose this because I thought that it was really descriptive. The second one is, the few white grains left sat like precious pearls at the bottom of her bowl. I chose this because I thought that it shows meaning since they were very poor aand rice was their only food.
  • Julio F

I chose "the last grains of rise were like pearls in the bottom of the bowl" and I did that because I just really like gems and birthstones. And the other was "the fiery orange fish" because I like the word fiery since it's spelled so interestingly.

One of my pieces of figurative language I found was, "His black eyes sparkled like raindrops in the sun when he began a story." This is a simile. One reson I chose this one was because it really paints a picture in my mind. The other piece I found was, "His gentle call drew Minli like a moth to a lit lantern." That is also a simile. I chose it because when I read this I actually picture a moth fluttering near a lit lantern.

One example of figurative language is "there was once a black mountain that cut into the sky like a jagged piece of rough metal." I liked that example of figurative language because I could picture the jagged piece of rough metal in my head. The second example of figurative language is "one of the houses in this village was so small that its wood boards, held together by the roof, made one think of a bunch of matches tied with a piece of twine." I liked this example of figurative language because because it sounded unusual.
