Manpower's recent study, "Social Networks vs. Management? Harness the Power of Social Media," indicates that 75% of employers worldwide say their organizations do not have a formal policy regarding the use of social networking sites at work. Only 20% of employers do have a formal policy, and only 63% of those say their policy is effective at avoiding productivity loss.

Indian economy struggled for the last 5 years & impacted the overall project of India. Post NDA government at the center and subsequent slew of policy reform inflicted positive waves within the economy. The stringent control on black money movement and management forced many businesses to release the hoarded corps which impacted the CPI, WPI.

Forrester Research is one of the organizations that engages in such outreach-and, candidly, it's one of the few organizations whose content actually is of enough interest for me to share it with my community. When Forrester issues a report that deals with social media and communications, Forrester graciously offers me a copy of the report. These reports sell for hundreds of dollars or more, and as an independent consultant, I couldn't possibly justify the cost of purchasing one. Because Forrester shares its intellectual property with me at no cost, I'm able to opine on the research and share the findings I believe are most significant.
