  •
I found this pinterest page that has a bunch of different splints on it. I just thought after the lab yesterday, it was cool to see more kinds of them. Since this is a pinterest page, i am not sure if all the splints are correct in their descriptions, but I did think these were very cool to see.

This article talks about what goes into rehab for burn patients. I thought this article had some very good information. Although this article is not just specific to OT, I found it to be a very multidisciplinary approach.

  •
I just found these facts, not sure how accurate they are but since we are talking about aging I found them pretty neat. One of the facts that stood out to me was that there was a study that shows people are happiest in early 20's and then again in 70's and 80's.. It states the reason is because by that age we have built social and emotional instincts that keep us from worrying about little things.

Assistive versus Adaptive Technology - 5 views

  •
I just thought this was an easy explanation b/w the two. It explains how adaptive technology is the adapting of existing tools or technologies, but assistive technology is just basically a broad term for the technology in general whether it be adaptive, assistive, or rehabilitative . It lists examples in the article. This just kind of helped me to understand the difference and wanted to share it.
