PMI CAPM Certification | Project Management Institute - 0 views

  •
As students of project management, we learn how PMI's Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is the ultimate PM industry certification to obtain (with which I agree). The PMP is a great goal to reach for, however, most students of project management are nowhere close to meeting the eligibility requirements necessary to pursue the PMP. You may or may not know that PMI has another option for entry-level project management professionals called the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). The CAPM is appealing because it serves as a much more attainable stepping stone in our quest for the coveted PMP. - Duncan McBogg

This site provides a good overview of the Scrum methodology and information about training and certification programs. I went through an onsite Scrum Master course a year ago and was recently reminded that it was time to renew my certification. The Scrum Master test was pretty easy right after the training.

This is a great site for affordable online training, especially for PMP certification preparation. You can select training from among many reputable online training devopment companies. The PMP course I checked out was by PrimeLearning. Although I couldn't tell which version of the PMBOK the course was written for, it looked like all of the main concepts were included in the course.

Very affordable for PMP prep classes! I took one several years ago and it was a few thousand dollars.

I recently attended a two-day ASTD certificate course she did in conjunction with the TechKnowledge conference in Las Vegas. It was informative and she has a unique approach that really presented some of the concepts in a straight-forward manner/ Of course, in two days you can only dig so deep but I would recommend the course for those new to project management.
