    Infoxicación es un término que utiliza para referirse al exceso de información recibida en relación a un tema, y a la dificultad de gestionarla. David Lewis se refiere a la expresión Information Fatigue Syndrome (IFS), Síndrome de Fatiga por Exceso de Información, cuyas consecuencias derivan en estrés. Para prevenir esta enfermedad, el primer paso es conocer en qué consiste y sus previsibles consecuencias. Esto permitirá hacerle frente antes de que se manifieste por completo y así evitar daños para la salud. El segundo paso es hacer uso de filtros y herramientas adecuadas que permitan la gestión de la información de forma óptima. Y este es el objetivo de la unidad del curso en la que estamos.
