How to make old fashioned candy - 0 views

  •
I used this source to help me get ideas for hard candy recipes, particularly older styles of hard candy like lollipops and barley sugar candy, so that I could try making some new types of candy. The author talks not only about the recipe, but about the crucial steps that you have to take to make the candy come out the way that you want it to. I did not see anything like this on most of the other recipes that I looked at. I would highly recommend this to someone who has cooked candy before. I would recommend having practice in the art of cooking candy before attempting any of these recipes.

You can do an advanced search where you can choose the main ingredient, or you can exclude specific ingredients depending on one's dietary needs. Taste of Nepal (Cookbook) - 0 views

  •
This cookbook contains many wonderful recipes, as well as commentary on Nepali life and eating culture. It was essential for me upon arriving home from Nepal, as I wanted to cook the foods I had been eating over there but did not having many recipes. It also translates many common ingredient names from Nepali into English, which was very helpful.

Aromatherapy - 0 views

  •
I was introduced to this website when I began my Human Development final project on aromatherapy. This site is the best one that I have come across throughout all of my research; it is very organized and there is just so much information. The main headers are aromatherapy articles, aromatherapy recipes, carrier oil profiles, essential oil profiles, hydrosol profiles and aromatherapy books. The purpose of this article is to give you information about what essential oils are and how to use them. I think that this is an amazing source; it starts at the very basics and becomes more complex as you continue. Not only does it tell you about a bunch of oils and their health benefits but it shows you how to make your own aromatherapy recipes. The aromatherapy web is definitely accurate because there are a bunch of people who work on it and I'm sure that they would correct each other if anyone made a mistake. I would recommend this source to anyone who wants to research aromatherapy or who wants to try it. Because this website was so organized it was easy for me to answer my questions. This site helped me to expand my knowledge on aromatherapy and think about all the natural ways of healing.

Woodworker's Journal | Woodworking | How To | Free Plans - - 1 views

  •
This site offers a large variety of woodworking recipes for a very low cost. It gives me ideas and designs to work on with no design required prior. It gives me the ability to go into the shop whenever I want and work on a project. This source is definitely a helpful one due to its low cost and bountiful. It sells complete recipes with cost ranging from $1 to $50, a fair price for allowing to skip the day long planning period of projects. Compared to other sources this one rates fairly average and does not necessarily wow me. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do woodworking, but doesn't like sketching models and plans. In conclusion I will use this source to get cheap plans for small work projects and slow days. It didn't really effect my learning but it certainly gave me a good amount of resources.

I just discovered this blog today and have found it very helpful. I'm fascinated by alternative cooking techniques, and how the whole chemistry of food can still work when on a vegan diet. I especially admire her dessert recipes. This blog shows that being a vegan doesn't have to stop you from indulging in yummy treats and comfort foods once in a while!

While I don't agree with all her cooking methods and ideas, I've used a few of her recipes lately as kick-starts for mine, and it's great for people on trying to make sweet things healthier, or perhaps less animal-product based (which is what I was looking for)
