Nutrition in Texas Schools - 0 views

Because of childhood obesity becoming a very big topic in society today, schools in the state where I graduated high school are restricting and even eliminating the use of vending machines in schools. This minimizes access to junk food to children during the school day. If children are having access to chips and soda, it is at home and occurring because a parent gave permission.

Kool Kidz is another organization that works with children with serious neuromuscular disorders. Their main focus is for kids to be able to function in their natural environment and acquire necessary everyday skills. I choose this because I like how they keep it natural and don't necessarily urge them to get to a sport level status, but just back to normal.
