Spezify is a search tool presenting results from a large number of websites in different visual ways. We take web search further, away from endless lists of blue text links and towards a more intuitive experience. We want you to get a good overview of a subject, find useful information and be inspired with Spezify. We mix all media types and make no difference between blogs, videos, microblogs and images. Everything communicates and helps building the bigger picture. We collect websites and are aiming to use as many relevant, free and open API:s as possible to generate extensive and diverse search results

"We offer AAC Comunication Board Editor, Player software and image search engine service. As any other image editor software, Picto4me does not restrict you to only make use of  free images. Some of the images can be placed on websites without any conditions but there will be cases where legal rights would be requested and should be acquired from its author. As an image search service, Picto4Me is not responsible for the use of the pictures returned by the search. "

Twurdy Search - Search for Readable Results - About Twurdy - 1 views

  •
The name "Twurdy" comes from a play on words with the question "Too Wordy?". The philosophy Everyone has different reading abilities. Some people searching the web are university professors and others are 5 year old children. Twurdy has been created to provide people with access to search results that suit their own readability level. What does it do? Twurdy uses text analysis software to "read" each page before it is displayed in the results. Then Twurdy gives each page a readability level. Twurdy then shows the readability level of the page along with a color coded system to help users determine how easy the page will be to understand. The Goal Twurdy's goal is to provide web searchers with information that is most appropriate for them. This will mean that 10 year olds doing school assignments don't have to click through difficult material to find something they can use. It will also mean that phd students do not have to click through websites designed for kids in order to find what they are looking for.

Social Bookmarking: Delicious Vs Diigo | Integrating Technology in the Primary Classroom - 0 views

  •
"Up until recently, I have been happily using Delicious to store, organise and share my favourite links. With the Internet Explorer Delicious add-on, I found it so simple to store sites as I browsed the net. In addition, searching Delicious for websites often gave me more reliable results than mainstream search engines. This was until my teacher friend Linda Yollis suggested I try Diigo. As a ex-Delicious user, she made the switch after discovering the impressive features that Diigo offers. After I "took the tour" of Diigo, I made the switch too."

Apps for Education « ConnSENSE Bulletin - 2 views

"The following, amazing list was compiled by Carolann Cormier and developed as a handout resource. It is not meant to be exhaustive and is not a suggestion on what apps to download. It is always helpful to review the ratings on apps before purchasing. For review of apps, click on the review button when you are on the app download page in iTunes. If a lite version is available, generally they are free or cheaper, so they can be a way for you to try an app. For children's apps, click on the Apps for Kids category in iTunes sidebar. For books, click on the Books category. Use the search parameters built into iTunes for apps by clicking on the apps button when your search results come up."
