SEFER Center awards grants to support research projects in multiple disciplines on Russian Jewry. These research projects may cover different aspects of Jewish history and culture within the territory of former Russian Empire during various historical periods from the ancient times till post-soviet contemporary period. The range can cover the entire variety of humanitarian and social domains (history, literature, linguistics, art history, education, philosophy, religion studies, sociology, political science etc.), as well as interdisciplinary studies. The Center provides researchers, teachers and PhD students with financial support for research projects, including fundamental or applied studies, monographs, articles and dissertation theses.

The National Council for Eurasian and East European Research (NCEEER) welcomes applications to its National Research Competition and Short Term Travel Grant programs for research on and travel to Eurasia and Eastern Europe. The Council for European Studies is this year holding its 50th Anniversary meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland from the 22nd to the 24th of June 2020. The CES membership has traditionally been primarily centered around the Global North. On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the Council for European Studies (CES) and the World Society Foundation (WSF) are committed to engaging participants from traditionally underrepresented  communities by awarding a limited number of travel grants covering airfare and accommodation to researchers from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The year 2020 marks a moment for reflection, given recent and ongoing changes in the boundaries of European citizenship, the fragile institutional arrangements of the European social model, the postcolonial analysis of Europe in the world, the population dynamics that define who is European, Europe's changing relationships with other regions and parts of world society, including the Global South, and the configuration of global hegemony. 

At this year's conference of the Research Centre for European Classicism, the focus will be on the Weimar as well as on the Viennesse Classicism. How are those two epochs connected and refer to the same justification context? And to which extent are they the reference for the literature and musical historiography in the 19th century? The implications of the contruction of those epochs will be central at this conference. 

The Association for Women in Slavic Studies (AWSS) Graduate Research Prize is awarded annually to fund promising graduate-level research in any field of Slavic/East European/Central Asian studies by a woman or on a topic in Women's or Gender Studies related to Slavic Studies/East Europe/Central Asia by either a woman or a man. Graduate students who are at any stage of master's or doctoral level research are eligible. Only graduate students are eligible for this prize.

NCEEER welcomes proposals to its Title VIII National Research Competition and Short-Term Travel Grant Programs. All applicants must be U.S. citizens and PhD holders. Deadline for all applications is December 31, 2017. 

ACLS invites applications in China Studies. With the generous support of the Henry Luce Foundation, The National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCK) for International Scholarly Exchange, ACLS offers support for early career scholars and for the organization of meetings, workshops, and conferences. Research Travel Grants assist scholars who wish to use the University of Notre Dame's archival collections in Catholic Americana at the Hesburgh Libraries. D'Agostino Research Travel Grants support research in Roman archives for projects on U.S. Catholic history. Hesburgh Research Travel Grants provide funds for scholars to research primary source materials relating to the life and work of Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., president of the University of Notre Dame from 1952 to 1987. Hibernian Research Awards support the scholarly study of Irish American history.

The residence grants are offered to researchers of various fields in the humanities from different countries. We especially encourage historians, culture studies scholars, and anthropologists. We welcome applications for research that offer broad interpretations of urban history as a discipline at the intersection of various approaches of humanities and social sciences. The chronological and geographical frames of the proposed research are limited to the 19th and 20th-century history of East and Central Europe. Preference will be given to topics related to the Center's research focuses like urbanization in multi-ethnic cities, individual experience of city residents during 20th-century radical changes and wars, planned cities, urban heritage, commemorative practices and city space, infrastructure and cultural practices in the cities, digital and public history.

The Korean Collections Consortium of North America (KCCNA) was created in 1992 with generous grants from the Korea Foundation. Its members cooperatively develop and share specialized Korean Studies scholarly resources and provide library services to a wider audience beyond their own academic communities. Current membership consists of the thirteen largest Korean Studies academic libraries in the US and Canada.  The KCCNA Research Travel Grants program was created to assist scholars who need to travel a long distance in order to access the resources and services of KCCNA member libraries.
