American Society for Reproductive Medicine: Research Grants - 0 views

  •
The primary purpose of the ASRM and SREI Research Grant Programs is to provide funds for new investigators to establish independent research programs. New investigators are those who have completed their training within the past three years and have independent faculty appointments at the commencement of the research. In special cases, ASRM will consider applications for bridge funding (i.e., between grant funding periods) for projects that are of benefit to other members of the Society, or for funding of new, highly innovative research projects by established investigators. Both the ASRM Research Grants, which are funded by the ASRM, and the SREI Research Grants, which are funded by SREI, are reviewed by the ASRM Research Committee. Grants in amounts of $10,000 to $50,000 will be considered for funding by the ASRM Board of Directors on an annual basis. A total of $200,000 is available for 2016. The SREI Board of Directors will fund one grant of up to $40,000. Funds are available for project expenses, technical assistance, patient expenses, research supplies and durable laboratory equipment. Up to ten percent (10%) of funds may be used for indirect costs or institutional overhead in circumstances deemed to be extraordinary by the Research Committee. Research grant funds may be expended over a 2-year time interval. If residual funds remain after 2 years, the principal investigator can apply for a no-cost extension. An individual should indicate which grant(s) he/she is applying for though he/she is eligible to receive only one grant.

Innovation Fund - 0 views

  •
As the largest video, high-speed Internet, and phone provider to residential customers, Comcast Cable is committed to supporting external technical research and open source software development. Over the long term, this can lead to critical insights and advancements that can positively benefit consumers by delivering innovative new generations of products faster than ever before. The Comcast Innovation Fund offers funding for researchers at leading academic institutions and elsewhere to support research that is of mutual interest to Comcast and the research community. It also provides funding to support open source software development. While Comcast has supported this kind of work for many years, we are now doing so in a more strategic way. RESEARCH GRANTS Research Grants can be either general or targeted. A general research grant provides an unrestricted award of funds to support researchers, usually at colleges and universities. These grants are focused on supporting excellent technical research in a wide variety of fields that are relevant to the broadband industry and/or to Comcast specifically. In contrast, a targeted research grant is more narrowly tailored and typically study more specific issues. In either case, applicants are encouraged to consider grants that may have a cooperative focus, whereby researchers can be matched with a Comcast engineering liaison who will be involved with the research. Applicants for these grants may be organizations, academic institutions, or individuals.

UEF GRANTS PROGRAM - 0 views

  •
The UEF Board of Trustees evaluates and judges proposals in view of the UEF mission, the perceived ability of the proposal and proposer(s) to further that mission, and the available funding. Proposals are accepted only from U.S. based organizations classified by the Internal Revenue Service as having 501(c)(3) status. While all proposals meeting the requirements for 1) U.S. based organizations having 501(c)(3) status, 2) established deadlines, and 3) page limitations will be considered, certain UEF preferences should be understood by proposers: Broad-based, interdisciplinary proposals that further the engineering profession as a whole are preferred. Multiple-year proposals are welcome, but funding is awarded for a single year only. Proposals for subsequent years follow procedures identical to that of single-year proposals. No commitment for funding of subsequent years of a multiple-year project should be inferred from funding of a prior year. Projects that are outside "business as usual" of the proposing organization are preferred. Technical research proposals and proposals by individuals are seldom accepted.

Science of Behavior Change: Revision Applications for Use-inspired Research to Optimize... - 0 views

  •
Supported by the NIH Common Fund (Common Fund) Science of Behavior Change (SOBC) Program, this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits competitive revision (formerly known as a competitive supplement) applications to NIH-supported clinical trials awarded as research project R34 grants. The goal of the SOBC Program is to advance a mechanisms-focused, experimental medicine approach to behavior change research. Funded projects in the SOBC Research Network (https://commonfund.nih.gov/behaviorchange/fundedresearch) have developed experimental manipulations, assays, and/or measures (hereafter referred to as assays for brevity) to support an experimental medicine approach to behavior change research. The SOBC Measures Repository is accessible from the SOBC Research Network Open Science Framework (OSF) page at https://osf.io/zp7b4. The goal of this FOA is to accelerate the adaptation, validation, and translation of SOBC Research Network assays for use in ongoing clinical trials. This FOA calls for the integration of SOBC Research Network assays into active NIH-supported clinical trials of drugs, devices, procedures, or behavior modifications. As such, the active NIH-supported clinical trial used to respond to this FOA does not have to be a behavior change trial or identify behavior change as a primary outcome. The integration of SOBC Research Network assays into ongoing clinical trials will accelerate the development of interventions and experimental manipulations that have been shown to engage specific mechanisms of behavior change and the development of assays that verify engagement of those behavior change targets.
