This website allows music educators to post and collaborate with other educators on their ideas and methods. The content focuses on teaching strategies, music technology programs, reading material for the integration of technology into the music classroom, and articles on continuing education.

This website was developed by music education and technology experts Dr. Joseph M. Pisano and Amy M. Burns. It includes blog posts from both educators, and discusses ideas for incorporating technology into elementary and secondary classrooms. Available music technology, software, and freeware resources are listed. Also included are examples of how this technology is used by children in their classrooms.

This website is a blog focus on the integration of technology in the music classroom. It appears to be a great resource to compliment the topics we have discussed in this course.

This site helps build rubrics used for assessments.  You can design your own rubrics for playing tests, performances and projects.

This is a website that links to various rubric-creating formats, designed to save educators time and effort in making more visually-appealing assessment tools. There is a brief article that discusses the benefits of implementing a rubric in assessment, and there are multiple links to other articles that discuss the pros and cons of utilizing rubrics at various levels of education. Within the initial article are 25 different formats, some more topic-specific than others, to generate rubrics with pictures and descriptions. It is easy to use and much more efficient than creating a rubric from scratch.

This website was created by an Iowa band director and has many resources and information about music technology. It includes a blog, sheet music, professional articles, and podcasts.

The Percussive Arts Society Resource Library is a site full of educational content from posters, to media, to essential listening lists.

Percussive Arts Society (PAS) is a great source for all things percussion. While some items (articles, videos) at the website require PAS membership, there are several items that are available to all. Some useful items for everyone include the rudiments, "The PAS Educators' Companion," and "Essential Listening for Drum Set."

The San Francisco Symphony kids website is filled with Fun & Games with music. Children will be able to listen, play, perform, conduct, and compose. This is a friendly and interactive way to engage youth.

The purpose of this website is to allow you to browse upcoming educational workshops and events scheduled to take place at the annual Midwest Clinic International Band, Orchestra, and Music Conference in December. The content focuses on the schedule of events which shows the most recent upcoming material on specific teaching strategies/pedagogies and how to implement these in the classroom. It allows you to sign up as an exhibitor, advertiser or attendee. It also allows you to sign up your performing ensembles to showcase their talent or to feature newly published music. Exhibits include workshops, musical equipment/instruments, and other material to help music educators and musicians.

This site is for the Midwest clinic. The Midwest clinic is an international clinic for music educators. I have been 4 times and every time it is so much ti take it and I have left with tangible and intangible thing that have increased my knowledge and made me a better teacher.

This could be a great music resource for any teacher or student. If you have an older score or piece that you are looking for, it is probably on this website. This could be a good resource for score study or advanced theory study.

This website hosts over 9,000 choral/vocal scores, texts, translations and other useful information. This is a fantastic resource for choral directors to browse and select music from.

Purpose of this resource: This webpage contains downloadable choral music that is in the public domain. Musical Content: The Choral Public Domain Library contains digital downloads (sheet music, midi files, and notation files) for choral works that are in the public domain. There is a large selection, and CPDL offers useful search features such as listing all musical settings of a text, searching by language, type of piece, and by musical era. Other information: This is a good resource for directors who do not have large music budgets, are looking to find different settings of specific texts, or are looking for music from a specific time period.

Access to FREE choral works in the public domain. Also, you can find scores, texts, translations, and information about composers.

This is a video sharing site. The user can access quality music examples and create playlists for easy access. The user can also create their own channel and upload videos that they created themselves. Music educators can locate examples, tutorials, or other information for use with music lessons.

This is the link to the Piano Guys YouTube page. This provides a great resource for students to watch new arrangements of some of their favorite songs.

Has anyone seen this? This is Dr. Williams' (the 'other 80%' guy) website that lists and describes music apps in the cloud.

The Smithsonian Folkways website offers lesson plans and recordings pertaining to world music. Using the map tool, teachers can select a region and view a PDF lesson plan (primarily for upper elementary, middle, and high school levels) and links to tracks for purchase or streaming. The site also includes information about professional development and interactive features, such as a jazz mixer and "Meet the Mariachi."

Smithsonian Folkways is the record label of the Smithsonian Institute. Website includes free resources for the classroom including lesson plans, courses for teachers, and additional resources including thousands of recordings.

Marching band is something that a lot of people have to do, but not everyone has great experience as a marching director. This site provides a free podcast put together by some of the prolific minds in the marching band and drum corps world to help give ideas and provide strategies for improving public school programs.

This website is a great resource for those involved in the marching arts. There are many informative podcasts that go over everything from marching show design to judging criteria. This is a huge tool for high school band directors and marching band staff members

This site is a great resource for everything band related. You can find theory sheets, instrument fingering charts and even band trip support documents. Membership is free!

This website includes educational videos, PDFs of fingering charts, trill charts, seating charts, and links to music and music vendors. This is a great website to visit for useful links all stored in one place.

This is a forum-based website where teachers can share resources and media that they find useful. Available media include videos, fingering charts, rubrics, and blog posts, just to name a few. Though primarily geared towards middle school level, their are resources that can be found useful for all levels of band instruction.

This is a fantastic blog with great resources for general music classroom. It also contains printable assessments and whiteboard activities for K-6 elementary music. 

This website is an awesome resource for elementary music teachers. Aileen gives lesson planning advice, tours of her classroom, ideas for assessment, and program ideas. Her site also includes freebies (lesson plans, assessment tools, and printable worksheets). She also includes links to her podcast and her Teachers Pay Teachers store, which is full of quality resources.

Mrs. Miracle's website is a very well-laid out website which could serve as a template for a teacher looking to do a similar website. She has a podcast, a way to be contacted for teacher interactions, a link to a store where teachers share materials, and informative posts with teaching ideas. Most ideas are geared toward the third-grade level.
