Resource for UF Masters in Music Education. This site is helpful to read, connect, collaborate, and steal great idea through blogs. I always gain a sense of confidence when I see that other educators are having similar issues that I am but more importantly dealing with them in similar ways. Lesson planning, resources are easily accessed through blogs such as these!

This website is one of my favorite ways to introduce new musical ideas to K5 and 1st grade students. Older students love using it as well. The lesson plans, games, and activities are all aligned and geared toward specific subjects. These also make great sub lessons.

Google Classroom is a fantastic way to manage your classroom, engage students, and have assignments posted and submitted without any papers being lost. The content is geared toward students in grades K-6. Other information: This webpage has excellent, free content, but some of the advertisements on the page may by inappropriate for display in class. Educators should find the resource they need and then print out hard copies for use in class.

Garageband lesson plan/ideas for middle to high school students. Can be adapted to specific needs, but is very well done with a lot of information, including plan outlines, scoring, assessments, and rubrics.

Pinterest is a phenomenal place to get new ideas or games for music education. I generally search pinterest now before I look at google for new ways to teach music concepts. Pinterest is also where I have came across music teacher blogs that I follow. This site is also great for non music education things such as decorating your house and more.

This is the Dallas Symphony's kids page. They have great videos and resources about the instruments of the orchestra and composers. There are lesson plans available as well. This is probably geared more toward younger students.

This is a wonderful teacher blog with tons of teaching resources and curriculum. This blog has a huge bank of songs by grade level or activity type and feature activities to accompany the songs.

This is a great resource for discovering new songs to teach. The site allows users to search for short transcriptions by category (ie recorder music, Orff arrangements), alphabetical, or by genre (ie: folk, popular). Music can be saved as .pdf's.
