A band director friend of mine told me about this site last summer.  There is a password, which is:  Grainger The Band Director Posthaven began with the Band Director Facebook page and the originator of the page, Brian Wis, wanted a place to share files with other band directors. This is a great resource in which band directors share files and other resources to assist the daily needs of a band director.  These files include posters, music (warm-ups, chorales, technique builders, curriculum guides, recruit tools and ideas, rubrics, music appreciation activities, band room rule/policies, how to deal with administrators, and more).  With the resources being submitted by band directors, this is a great source for new band directors and band directors at new schools.   I have used this site to find pitch tendency charts, scale sheets, and three excellent warm-ups.  You can spend hours upon hours searching this site.  Most of the files are PDFs which allows to open and print form any computer with a PDF reader.  There are some Microsoft Office documents which can be a problem.  Be mindful that some of the music repertoire may needs some adjustments for your ensembles needs or you have to add instruments to the instrumentation (missing Baritone TC, Oboe, Bassoon, or Baritone Sax parts)

This website has just about everything a band director would ever need. From resources about administration and fundraising, to sight-reading, theory, and ensemble skills, this is a tremendously beneficial resource for all band directors.

I have used this website as a resource for a long time. This site can be used for information. I have recently used the substitute music assignment in my class. Also, I have been redirected to blogs, podcasts, and many more thing just from this site.

The creators of this website are dedicated to sharing resources that help band directors improve their craft. Posts can be filtered by category (i.e. brass, intonation, theory, etc.) to save time and narrow focus. Additionally, educators can comment on posts, share ideas, and ask questions.

For band directors in SC Iowa, SCIBA is a support system is resource center. Through their website, directors receive information on honor bands, All-State auditions, and district festivals. SCIBA also provides important resources for directors, such as the JEI (Jazz Educators of Iowa) website. For directors in the district, this is a must.

The forums on this website allow educators to share best practices across multiple settings. This website would be most useful for instrumental educators. 

This website is a fantastic resource for band directors. Their are resources for marching, travel, fundraising, conducting, and product comparisons just to name a few. This site has just about anything a band director will ever need.

An extremely useful site to peruse free music for download in various categories like orchestral and chamber music parts. I have frequently used this for myself and students when faced with auditions that I/they need an "original" part to.

This link provides information about the annual New England Band Directors Institute conference. This conference takes place in Plymouth, NH on the campus of Plymouth State University. The conference offers a variety of session on specific topics for bands, marching bands, and jazz bands. They also offer two reading sessions so directors may hear and experience new band music.

IBA (Iowa Bandmasters Association) is the organization that leas Iowa band directors. If you are a band director or music educator in Iowa, you should be a member of IBA. This website is for a podcast I have been listening to for a few years. The podcast is very interesting an informative. It give a different perspective on teaching band. Though I don't teach in a similar situation, things can be applied to my situation.

This discuss all different types of things but it is interesting to listen to how the three work together with their different classes. I have listen to this podcast in the past and their are even times she records her lessons with her students.

Band Ed Tool Shed is a blog ran by a band director named Roger Whaley who is aiming to work smarter in his music classroom. He also outlines issues he encounters in his system and how he overcomes them. Great resource for directors to use for ideas on how to adapt to changing conditions and create new resources for their classrooms.

This website is an important one for Florida band directors to have book marked. The Florida Bandmasters Association provides a variety of educational experiences for students including performance evaluations and honor band experiences. In addition, FBA is a community of educators who support each other by helping each other to grow professionally. The FBA website provides a "best practices" section as well as articles and other resources that are helpful for band directors as they seek to improve their skills.

The ChoralWiki (CPDL) is a great resource for choral teachers and choir directors. There is access to free music, texts and translations, seasonal indices, and discussion forums for questions and answers about music, rehearsal techniques, and performance.

The Choral Public Domain Library is a free and legal source for free sheet music! This site offers printable scores of public domain music, often complete with text and translations when necessary. You can search this catalog by composer, title, arrangements, voicing, accompaniments, language, and genre. Complete with over 31,000 scores by over 3,200 different composers, there's a high possibility that any choral director might find something of use here!
