Gartner's survey of consumer sentiment, reported by the Detroit Free Press, shows that consumers give higher priority to "specific applications that make sense when they're driving," according to Gartner analyst Thilo Koslowski, including features like weather forecasting, traffic conditions, and parking availability, along with features such as voice recognition and automated crash notification systems. Gartner found that 82% of U.S. consumers would be willing to pay extra for such features, up from 20% just a few years ago.

"Originally called Pinfluencer, Piqora was one of the first companies to offer Pinterest insights before Pinterest launched an analytics tool of its own. Its other customers include Sephora, Zappos, Etsy, Z Gallerie, Orbitz, and Steve Madden. Using an image recognition-based algorithm, Piqora can surface brand-related hashtags, images, and links from the three top visual networks, where keywords aren't enough. Hashtag-tracking technology is especially important on Instagram, where Piqora says brands have seven times more hashtags than they have followers."

Cool digital signage mirror with face recognition. People walk by and the database finds the person they most resemble out of a database of 250 faces of notorious celebrities. The mirror then calls out loud who you look like so everyone else can hear it.
