The Ontario Society of Professional Engineers held its second symposium related to climate change on April 29 in Toront,.Entitled, "Engineering in a Climate of Change: Making the Lakes Great." This event was held at the MaRS Centre, in cooperation with the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Centre for Engineering and Public Policy at McMaster University.

The Honourable Peter Van Loan, Minister of International Trade, met with senior Swedish government officials and key business leaders to enhance business opportunities between the two countries and promote Canada-EU comprehensive economic and trade agreement negotiations. Minister Van Loan states, "Science and technology cooperation continues to be an important part of our commercial relationship, and we look forward to intensifying our bilateral partnership in this area, including at Canadian institutions such as the MaRS Centre at the University of Toronto, and the University of Calgary."

ACE is a national charitable organization that is teaching and igniting young Canadians to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Working in partnership with business and higher education, ACE delivers experience-based programming that allows university and college students to move beyond the traditional path of post-secondary education.
