However, finding appropriate apps and accessories to meet the needs of your students and your classroom can be challenging and confusing. We view our website as a shortcut in that process. We focus on apps that have been designed to address a particular need or have been creatively adapted by users to meet a specific need. Finding apps is just the first step in an exciting journey of discovery with your students that will involve trial and error. All of the app reviews on our website have been conducted by therapists or special education teachers, and they have been trialed with someone who has a disability. It has material for all ages and includes personal contributions, stories and learning materials. eLive is an on-line magazine within SymbolWorld especially for older readers. SymbolWorld is designed to have clear easy navigation with large buttons for any links. There are free, downloadable readers for the web and book content. You can contribute your own articles and books by creating them with Writing with Symbols software.

The DLM® project is guided by the core belief that all students should have access to challenging grade-level content. The new DLM Alternate Assessment System will let students with significant cognitive disabilities show what they know in ways that traditional multiple-choice tests cannot. The DLM system is designed to map a student's learning throughout the year. The system will use items and tasks that are embedded in day-to-day instruction. In this way, testing happens as part of instruction, which both informs teaching and benefits students. An end of the year assessment will be created for states that want to include a summative test in addition to the instructionally embedded system.

The National STEM Centre houses the largest open collection of resources for teachers of science, design and technology, engineering and mathematics in the UK. Alongside contemporary resource materials including print, multimedia, and practical resources, is a growing archive collection, which showcases several decades of curriculum development. Resources for use with early years to post-16 students are freely available as physical and eLibrary collections. The eLibrary currently contains over 4,000 teaching resources for the STEM subjects.

This program is designed to be a fun way to develop your children's early literacy skills as you read story books with them. In the books For Children, you will find coaches, Pedro, Hali, and Monty who give ideas of how to talk with children about the books. In the books For Teachers and Parents, there is also another coach named Terry, who talks about literacy development and suggests fun activities to do with children.
