This is the start page for building out a complete control system. It has a guided method where you select a controller then modules to plug into the controller then software. We probably will not use the tool for our project but can use it to find documentation and identify which modules we may want to use.
It looks like it literally has ever module they make. Very cool.
Link to the 2013 controller PDF. This has everything about the control system. 179 pages of good stuff. Hardware, Software, Wiring, Cameras, LabView and more.
This vendor has lots of parts that we can use for our project. They are not part of the First(FRC) but do have the kind of things that we are going to need.
Autodesk is a big supporter lf first(FRC). They are a diamond member. ie 200k to 500k per year. They offer free CAD design software for the students. Be sure to watch the main video. It shows one of the guys from MythBusters showing how CAD works for designing our robot. This page also has links to other important resources.
Go to this page and create an account. With this account you will be able to access the Autodesk 360 cloud services. With these services we can share our design and collaborate with other people using tablets, browsers, cell phones, etc.
