Jacqueline Collins 10/15/12 Overview: This site is designed to teach students about different historic events. The site gives a variety of historic events along with a timeline of how the events occurred. The site gives a variety of links to give you more information. The site is simple to use and is good for getting information. I would defiantly use this site to reference historical events and to suggest to others when looking up historical events. Content: The site has a lot of useful information that coincides with the previous knowledge I have of the events. The site seems creditable although it does not have a clear revision date; it does have the copy right information. The site informs about different historic events effectively and also the information does not seem biased. Design The site is not eye appealing however; it does provide an easy navigation system to find all the information within the site. All material on the site is clearly labeled and is easy to follow.

Hailey Dudley 10/15/12 Overview: This site had many important informational purposes for people who are trying to learn more about Mount Rushmore. The purpose of this site was to enlighten students on the history of Mount Rushmore through a series of interactive flashcards. This website was designed for children ranging from 3rd grade to 8th grade who want to further their knowledge of Mount Rushmore. The information on this site is really good; however there are no available resources to continue the informational search on Mount Rushmore. My impression of this site was that it included really strong information on the subject but there was really no way of furthering your learning once you were done with the flashcards. Content: The content on this site had both good and bad aspects about it. At first look, the website was very clear on who it was intended for, as well as what was to be expected to learn from the site. This site was very unclear on who the information providers were. It did not state an author or the sponsor of the site. The informational currency and ways to further information was very poor as well. There was no way to find the latest revision date and there was no links to other sites. However, the information quality of this site was excellent. It was very organized and the information was valid to the subject. Design: The design of this webpage was decent. The homepage was able to download with great speed and the home page was very appealing to the eye. However, there was no information of the sponsor or the copyright date. Because of this, the site had no available date of last revision. This site also had no way of furthering education of Mount Rushmore because there were no other links. What was really exceptional on this site was the ease of navigation and the content that was presented.

There were many available resources to help learn more about Mount Rushmore. My overall impression of this site was that the site looked really good and it was easy to navigate through. Content: The content of this site was very outstanding. I was able to quickly identify what the site was about and I could easily see that the information was current and updated frequently. Furthermore, there was a plethora of good information, not only about the history of Mount Rushmore, but also about the park information as well. I was able to further my information on the monument by navigating the other links on the site. The only thing that the site didn't include was the information about the author and therefore, I could not tell if the writer was qualified or not. Design: The design of the site was remarkable. Everything from the speed of the homepage to the availability of furthering information was included in the website. I could easily navigate through the site and its look was very appealing. The site was very current and the content of the website was very informative and interesting. This site could not have gotten any better with their design.

Hailey Dudley 10/15/12 Overview: This site was great for learning facts on Mount Rushmore by watching informational videos, and furthering learning about the faces carved on the rock. The intended audience for this site ranges from children in 3rd grade to 8th grade. There were also many available resources that would help continuing education on the subject. I was very impressed with this site because it offered great information, it was appealing, and I trusted the information presented. Content: The content on this site was very useful. The information quality and ways to further information was outstanding for this site. The information was valid on the subject and the links to other sites were worthwhile and contained very useful facts. However, the information currency was not the best for this particular website. There was no available revision date so there was no way of knowing if the information was updated regularly or of the latest revision date is applicable to the material. The site also did not have available authors of the material. Design: The design aspect of this website was exceptional. The speed of loading the home page was great and I was able to easily navigate throughout the site. This site was very appealing to the eye and the graphics on each page was useful and contributed to the learning that occurred here. There was great content on this site and there were also sites available to continue leaning. However, the date that the site was last revised was not easily seen and so I had no idea if the information was present.

Debra Burkhalter October 15, 2012 Teens For Planet Earth Overview: Teens for Planet Earth is a Wildlife Conservation sponsored social networking group for teens, age thirteen years and older. This site was set up to provide outlets for group conservation projects which can be posted on this site. Very much like the Diigo groups, these Teens for Planet Earth (T4PE) groups are specifically formed by and for teens who want to protect the planet. Members from all over the globe can join to learn more about conservation, to join local projects, or even to apply for awards. This site is helpful to find information and many current events related to the environment. Content: The user of this site is able to identify right away that the basic content deals with conservation. The intended audience is stated on the home page, "Teens for Planet Earth is a Social Network by teens, for teens." The directional tabs are organized and easy to navigate. Although the site was developed for teens, there is also an Advisors portal for adults/teachers to: ■Establish regular, consistent contact with your team members. ■Engage team members in constant motivation, reflection, and feedback. ■Manage team dynamics and involve all teens equally in project. ■Know and oversee safety and health issues. Design: The homepage downloads efficiently and is simple but attractive and eye catching. Your eyes are visually drawn and move across silhouetted mountains, over the earth held up by stick figures then settle in a calm fixation on the owl in flight. Directions are clear and easy to follow and the content areas are labeled and organized. The site incorporates the use of multimedia extremely well which makes a huge contribution to the site. Design provides ample availability and links to other useful Web sites.

Overview: The purpose of this site is to inform and entertain the audience, in this case, 4th grade social studies students, of dumb or silly laws in their given state. All 50 states are available to study and have at least 5-6 laws that could be useful in their search. Content/ Design: This site is not the best, but it gets the information across that needs to be gotten across. There is a lot poorly placed ads that interfere with trying to read the laws. However, once you have located where the laws are the information is clear and easy to read. It is also available to view the whole law not just the bit that is shown on the main page. This site is not the most user friendly but once you have found what you are looking for it is quite entertaining and useful for the state project.

Debra Burkhalter October 15, 2012 Project Gutenberg Overview: Being the first producer of free eBooks, Project Gutenberg's purpose is to encourage the creation and distribution of eBooks. Thus, the intended audience for this site is literally humankind, but to be more specific for the purpose of my particularities; students, teachers, readers, writers, poets, publishers, learners, seekers of knowledge…and the list go on. Content: The site itself contains over 40,000 free eBooks and over 100,000 free eBooks are also available through the partner links. Information currency is accurate and last updated on August 20, 2012. Beyond the available eBooks that Project Gutenberg offers, the site also has a Self Publishing Portal, News Room, Blog and discussion pages and a plethora of reviews and review links. Overview The purpose of this website is not only to inform people about anti-Semitism during WWII but also to inform the audience of how anti-Semitism continues today in many different countries and how bigotry for other people has increased vastly as time has gone on. The audience for this website is for higher-level education especially civil rights activists. This website has information not only on the Holocaust but on many other conflicts going on right now that would be helpful in understanding what anti-Semitism is. Content and Design Based on the evaluations done for this website the information is very factual and relevant to what is says it is trying to do. There is plenty of information on the Holocaust and anti-Semitism along with sources to support their evidence. The design of the website is very well done, easy to move around with all of the links working properly. The Auschwitz Album - 0 views

Overview The purpose of this website, at least this specific link, is mainly to show via pictures, what happened during the Holocaust but the rest of the website does have valuable information on it. The intended audience for this website is higher-level education, because the pictures of the album would be hard to explain to younger - elementary aged students. They're also many articles about survivors along with interviews about these people. Content and Design Based on the evaluations done for this site the information and design of the website are very factual and helpful. The many links given help the audiences navigate the site easily without getting lost in the information. The actual information given on this website is very reliable and has plenty of sources to say so. The design of the website easily get's the audience's attention but is not overly covered in pictures as the ones they find important are in the actual album. The website developer was not stated anywhere but the sponsors of the site are stated at the bottom of each page.

Overview The purpose of this website is not only educational but it is also a way that people can get involved in the world of the Holocaust. At this website you can explore all the information gathered about the Holocaust but also donate money to help people that are going threw situations like that of the Holocaust i.e. Rwanda. This website is mainly based for higher education levels, high school and up, but could help younger students find information if teachers were to help navigate the site. There is a vast amount of information on this website that now is being converted over to other languages to help people all over the world understand this horrific time period. There were also many other links that a student/teacher could use to find information that would easily back up their other findings if they needed multiple sources. Content and Design Based on the evaluations done for this website the content and design are very fitting for the information given. The website is very easy to navigate with plenty of links taking you to other webpages or entirely different websites. The information on this website is very well organized and detailed, giving proper proof of where they got their information. The design of the website is put together well, easily getting the audience's attention but not to muddled with lots of graphics, making it hard to find information. Although the website developer was not stated on the site the sponsor for site was stated in the Contact Us page.

Buzzle - 0 views

Overview: The website, Buzzle, has more than enough information for anything. It could be used for any school project or paper. The website is intended for high school students all the way to college. It also had external links for websites of similar information. Content: The content could be laid out a little better but the content makes up for it. There is an almost endless amount of information on every subject for school or otherwise. The authors and there contact information is there. This website would be intended for older students above middle school since it is not the easiest to navigate. Design: The design they have is plain and doesn't catch the eye very well. Though it useful in the information part.
