Overall: The purpose of this site is to help learners in certain subjects of science.  It has a lot of information about multiple subjects of science, along with a lot of diagrams to guide students in the subjects that the help is needed for.  It gives links that add insight to the subject in question, and describes everything clearly.  I was very impressed with the content in which this website contained.   Content: The content within this website is very helpful and it contains a lot of information for learners interested in the sciences.  It has information for Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, Physics, etc.  And it even has interactive animations for each subject.  It has links to other sites in case the information provided is not helping as well.  Content wise this is a very well put together website. Design: The overall design is a little bland, but it also is very easy to navigate.  There is a table of contents and everything is "self-explanatory".  When you navigate to one section of the website it keeps the table of contents along with it so that you can navigate from any part of the website.  There is a help button just in case you get lost as well.

Content and Design: This site is very easy to navigate. Each section is labeled and easy to get to. Some pages take longer to download than others. The design is appealing to the eyes and the background/text color scheme makes it easy to read the text.

Holly Page October 14, 2012 Overview: The website entitled "Mr. Anker's Tests" was created for teachers and students. The website covers all content areas in grades k-7. The site is filled with activities that support California State and the Common Core State Standards. The site provides link with additional resources for outside information. The links provide information in math, social studies, science, reading, vocabulary, literature, and Spanish. I found the site very useful for my particular needs. I think this website would be very useful in a variety of subject areas for online exploration. Content: I thought that the website was pretty self-explanatory from looking at the homepage. I had no trouble identifying the audience and content of the website. The author is clearly identified (a biography of the author is provided giving credibility to the site) and available to contact at any time. It was difficult for me to verify how current the website was due to the lack of a revision date. The information seemed up-to-date and the links on the site were current and fully functioning. It was clear upon entering the site that it is used for educational purposes. The content supports the intended purpose and is complete. The site was well organized and seemingly free of bias. The games included on the site were interactive and seemed accurate to the best of my knowledge. The site was professional with correct spelling and grammar. Design: The site's homepage downloaded efficiently and was well organized; easily orienting it's users. The creator of the site and contact information was provided. There was no copyright date anywhere within the website. I found it easy to navigate the webpages within the site; directions and external links were provided and well functioning. There were graphics and games (these made a significant contribution to the website). "Mr. Anker's Tests" had plenty of information that was clearly labeled and consistent. A

Saydi Gardner 10/15/12 What is Photosynthesis? Overview: This site was very informative. There was a lot of good useful information about photosynthesis and the various aspects involved. The relationship between plants, soil, air, and light are clearly explained, the relationship between plants and other organisms is also explained very well. Content and Design: This site is rather clustered and could use some improvements with the layout. Also the developer and copyright information was not present. The site was not very eye appealing while navigating it. The links were useful and provided more information regarding the subject.

Saydi Gardner Growing the Next Generation 10/15/12 Overview: This website is designed to help young kids learn about plants, soil, sun, and how they all relate to one another and to us as humans. Some of the helpful activities on this website are coloring activities, videos, recipes that use fresh fruits and veggies, games, advice for gardening, diagrams, questions and answers segment, and various articles. This site is very easy to navigate and I found it very useful when needing information about plants and the benefits they provide for humans. Content and Design: The content on this site was easy to understand and relevant as to why it was created. The information on this site is accurate and up to date. This site explains how plants use soil, light, and different components of the atmosphere to help themselves and other organisms, such as humans and animals, around them. It is very easy to move around and find various activities on this site. The layout and design is easy to navigate and use but could use some improvements.

Science Kids: Sharks - 0 views

Content: Along with the other sites this site had great information on sharks and it was very helpful. A student could easily interepret it and apply it to their webquest. It was easy to un The understand and follow. The whole site was on the subject of sharks and their lifestyles. Design: This design was nothing spectacular. The site was a little confusing to navigate through and could easily confuse a student. It was lacking elements that could catch a child's eye and keep them entertained. I do not think I would use this in front of a classroom because they would not be interested in it.

Kid Zone: Sharks - 0 views

Content: This website offers different links to different information about sharks. For example, there is information about shark teeth, what they eat, shark babies, etc. This website can be really useful for the students because it offers insight that they might not have learned from any other website. The information was really current and you could tell that it gets revised regularly. All of the information was complete and thorough. The website was intended for children so it was really basic but all very helpful for the student to complete the webquest and find all the information. I would highly recommend this webite for teachers and both students wanting to learn more about sharks. Design: This site was easy to navigate through because everything was laid out so nicely and legible. This site was not very fun to look at because it was really simple and is not very appealing for kids. It had a couple of pictures but for my age group that my webquest was intended for the kids would not be very entertained for very long. They would get the information and leave the site right away. A person can find more information about a topic if they explore it more and give it a chance to click on more links and what not. This site offered a lot of insight on sharks but it was lacking in the design department.
