The objective is that students are capable of learning math content both enjoyably and easily. The audience for the site is both teachers and students (grades k-12). There are links to several other websites that are up-to-date and easy to access. The website makes it possible for users to find outside resources. I found the website useful in the subject and content areas I explored. There seemed to be information on a variety of mathematics topics. I was overall very impressed with the website. Content: Content wise, it was very easy to determine upon first glance that mathisfun.com can be used as a mathematics curriculum guide and serve as supplemental reading for students. Though there was little background on the author of the site, the information seemed very credible and links were provided for questions and verifying information. The site was current, including a recent revision date with several working links to other related sites. The content aligns with the intended purpose of the site, the information was displayed in a creative and organized fashion, and there was sufficient information for my searching needs. The site was interactive and professional. Further information on mathematics content was provided via updated and working links that were both appropriate and effective. Design: The design and layout was both creative and efficient. I had no trouble downloading the homepage. The site was decorated with picture links that added to the website organization. There was provider and contact information provided in the site contents. I easily found the copyright date at the bottom of the home page. Summary This web site is an amazing source to tell you the answer but it doesn't do a very good job in explaining. This web site is good to use as a starting point to get the answer but to understand the process in doing that you will have to go to another site to obtain that information. My purpose in using this web site was so when the children were test their own work that they could get a quick response. Overview This web site works well when you are trying to find a specific answer to a question but it gives limited feedback on how they were able to obtain the answer. The design was more for an adult and the web site was set to be more efficient than to make informational learning fun. The advantage to this site is that you can get the answer back quickly and but efficient with your time. But the disadvantage is that to get more information on the subject you would have to look on another web site for the process.

Web Formulas - 0 views

Summary This web site is a respectable source to find all formulas, even those that don't deal with math (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). This website is amazing because formals are stationary and so they do not change much. My use for this site was to have the kids to find the formula and this web site even had worksheets that the kids could mess around with and test out what the surface area was with each different object. Overview This web site is very plain to the eye but is very helpful when trying to acquire a formula. The advantages to this web site are that it has every formula that you could think of and it is in a format that is very user friendly (Tables). But the one down side is that the web site doesn't show you how to work these formulas.

Holly Page October 14, 2012 Overview: The website entitled "Mr. Anker's Tests" was created for teachers and students. The website covers all content areas in grades k-7. The site is filled with activities that support California State and the Common Core State Standards. The site provides link with additional resources for outside information. The links provide information in math, social studies, science, reading, vocabulary, literature, and Spanish. I found the site very useful for my particular needs. I think this website would be very useful in a variety of subject areas for online exploration. Content: I thought that the website was pretty self-explanatory from looking at the homepage. I had no trouble identifying the audience and content of the website. The author is clearly identified (a biography of the author is provided giving credibility to the site) and available to contact at any time. It was difficult for me to verify how current the website was due to the lack of a revision date. The information seemed up-to-date and the links on the site were current and fully functioning. It was clear upon entering the site that it is used for educational purposes. The content supports the intended purpose and is complete. The site was well organized and seemingly free of bias. The games included on the site were interactive and seemed accurate to the best of my knowledge. The site was professional with correct spelling and grammar. Design: The site's homepage downloaded efficiently and was well organized; easily orienting it's users. The creator of the site and contact information was provided. There was no copyright date anywhere within the website. I found it easy to navigate the webpages within the site; directions and external links were provided and well functioning. There were graphics and games (these made a significant contribution to the website). "Mr. Anker's Tests" had plenty of information that was clearly labeled and consistent. A

Content and Design: Overall this website is easy to use. It is attractive to the eye and can be easily navigated based on icons. The content of the website is current and the functions, such as graphing and calculating, are accurate. Overview: This site is intended for homework help for students but could easily be used by teachers for examples. It is an online calculator that will show graphs, calculate problems, and show limits. It is a great website for the student that might not have a scientific calculator, or even for a teacher that doesn't want to take the time to figure out the problem. It is more advanced than most calculators I have worked with. I think it is a great resource for anyone.

Overview The purpose of this site is educational for lower elementary students; its audience is therefore mainly elementary students but also parents and educators as they are the ones who may be interested in exploring the site to discover its usefulness for their children or students. This site contains many educational online interactive games for lower elementary kids that help mostly with reading and mathematics but it also has some other interactive options for other topics relevant to elementary students. Content and design Overall based on the content and design evaluations this site seems to be a good site worth bookmarking at least for use with elementary students. The design makes it visually attractive to the students it is intended for and it makes it easy for them to navigate the site. From observing a kindergarten class navigate the site it was apparent that they were able to go where they were told to with ease and then when they were allowed to explore more on their own they did so with ease.

Overall: This site's purpose is to help people with physics. It can be for students, teachers, and anyone in general that has a question relating to the topic of physics itself. It doesn't give any outside sources such as links to other sites, but it serves its' purpose. I do not like its' design, but its' content is very useful Content: The content is very useful in regards to physics. Anyone can ask a question, and people who are more familiar with the subject will answer it. There are thousands of questions are already answered, so your question may already be answered. The content goes over everything physics related possible. I could not find a revision date though. Design: The design is quite bland, and the website itself is somewhat hard to navigate. There is no real table of contents. There is a list of related subjects within the world of physics, but once you navigate from the homepage it is very hard to navigate through what remains of the website.

Basic Mathematics - 0 views

Summary This web site is a good site with a lot of information that it is made for children that are around the age of being in middle school. My use for this web site was for 7th grades so it had all the information that I needed. It was perfect for my use and it had great information on surface area. I just needed this site to teach the children about surface area; what it is, how it is found and why it is useful. All of these areas were met by this web site. Overview If your kids are younger than it might be hard for them to understand and if they are older, the information might be a little basic for them in the stage of learning they are in. The advantages of this web site were that it had a lot of good and useful information but the disadvantage is that it is made for one specific age group so you are only able to use it for a grade or two. If it fits it your age group that you are teaching then it is an astounding source because it gets very detailed on each subject. Even the design of the web site is set for a middle school age group.

Content and Design: This website is easy to navigate. The information is clearly organized and labeled. The design is very basic, but still appealing to the eye. There are other resources and ways to contact the authors of the page. Overview: Overall I think this website could definitely be used for students who need more of an explanation outside of the class when they are working on homework. It is designed to explain all aspects of Calculus as well as some pre-calculus concepts. It's easy to navigate and gives great information.
