That sounds fantastic. We're so lucky there are technologies like this available now that let teachers abroad share opportunities and resources with each other. Thanks for sharing Tom.

One way many teachers are reaching out is with the multitude of material found on the web, allowing them to turn everyday lessons into a multimedia experience. You can find a great amount of helpful material on these sites, including videos to augment your lessons, lectures to inspire students, documentaries to show them how things work, and loads of additional videos to help you become a better, smarter teacher."

This site looks really elementary, but DON'T be fooled! This company has units for various History subject areas (world, american, gov't, etc) that are based around activities AND taking lessons learned in the activities and making higher order thinking connections. I"m probably not doing the best job annotating this - but i will say this, I have one of the units and my students go NUTS over the activities and with their debriefing worksheets and discussion questions, my students really "get" the concepts and retain the learning.

I am committed to transforming our schools and world, and I work hard at maintaining hope and faith that this can be done. Occupy Oakland and the general strike that this movement initiated on November 2, are tremendously inspiring. This is a moment brimming with possibility, potential, and learning opportunities.

Great to find quick videos on provacative, intruiging topics as discussion starters, writing prompts, or with online courses...

A brilliant example of how to use Diigo with a class. We wouldn't be able to do this given the restrictions we have on assessment, yet the way annotations are used as student discussion is inspiring. Some great analysis on Bronze Age sources (which my students struggle to find).
