How This Influenced My Thinking: This article got me thinking about children with ADHD and how much more common it is these days. Also I learned that this disease could start as soon as the brain begins developing which was very surprising. It talks about communicating, sharing, putting the child in home settings and setting limits for the child. It explain what to expect the question to be at certain stages and how much information to give and how to present it. how has this influenced my thinking: I have a 7 and a 9 year old and I am very interested to know as much as possible about this topic. I was very surprised to read how the professionals contributing to this article find it a OK to explain to an 8 year old the basic concept of conception. credibility of source: it was published on the "American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry" website.
