Filmmaker Anurag Basu must be beaming from ear-to-ear as his film Barfi, which was the story of a deaf and mute boy, turned out to be the top winner at the maiden edition of the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA). It won the trophies in the category of Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

It is a known fact that Salman Khan likes to paint a canvas. And to our surprise, he is the one who painted the poster of his upcoming film Jai Ho, got released recently. It is for the first time when Dabangg star took the brush in hand and figured out a painting for a film. Till then, we got to know about his skills only from his close friends who received his works of art as gifts in the past.It is said that Salman was enthusiastic to have his fans on his flagship poster, so thousands of faces have been merged to make a close up shot of him. “Salman, along with brother Sohail Khan (who is directing the film as well as producing it along with Sunil Lulla) were keen to have something special as the first imagery of the film, as they are coming together after a long time,” informed sources.Produced by Eros International and Sohail Khan Productionz, Jai Ho is coming out in theatres on January 24. Interestingly, this movie would be his next release after Ek Tha Tiger, which hit theatres almost one and a half year back, making it the longest gap ever between his film releases.As per the sources, fans queued up on his social networking page to be a part of the poster, which the actor drew and gave to his digital team to incorporate. In fact, the Jai Ho font is in the actor's hand writing itself.Impressive art-work, we must say!

Bollywood actor Uday Chopra is already 41, still he is in no hurry to get married and even there is no pressure from his family as well. As of now, he is busy establishing Yash Raj Films (YRF) Entertainment abroad. Speaking to the sources recently, he said that getting marriage is not the only option today.Currently, he lives in Los Angeles, from where he manages his home banner's Hollywood wing> but nowadays he is in Mumbai for the promotions of his upcoming film Dhoom: 3, where he plays the character of Ali.Even though he has belief in marriage as an institution, still he feels that it depends on what works. "If you find a girl who doesn't want to get married, then you don't get married. It's very individualistic thinking. I don't believe that marriage as an institution is dead, but I also don't think that that's the only option you have today," he said. In fact, his mom Pamela Chopra, widow of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, is also fine with the fact that her son is still a bachelor. "She feels I will do it whenever I feel like. Now that I have started out this production work, I want to see it being productive. I want to see going forward. Once that happens, I will settle down," he said. The British singer-cum-actress Sofia Hayat, who entered as a wild card entrant a few weeks back, is dropped out from Bigg Boss 7 house. Though initially, she entered the caravan section of the house, she soon stepped into the main Bigg Boss house where she mingled with all the contestants. But at the end of my journey in the house, I have learned a lot of things and was able to sail through all the testing times. All set to be seen in upcoming action-comedy Boss, superstar Akshay Kumar revealed while promoting the Anthony D’Souza directorial, that he has this greed of doing good work, and it is in his nature to not take success for granted.He also revealed that he feels a sense of thrill doing stunts in his films, on his own, and exclusively for Boss, he has also avoided cable action. “In Boss, there is no cable action because youngsters are getting bored of it. They feel that the actors are not doing much — the cables are in all the jumps etc. In this film I have avoided cables. I just sit with my 10-year-old son and he gives me so much input. I get introduced to new music, new cinema, short films on YouTube courtesy Aarav (his son),” says Akshay.With Boss, he has turned mentors to two actors, Shiv Pandit and Aditi Rao Hydari, on the same, he said, “Shiv and Aditi are both very good. Bollywood’s two legendry actors Amitabh Bachchan and Prem Chopra were seen sharing a delightful time with each other in the event. They had a hearty conversation as they shared a warm handshake and a laugh. Amitabh Bachchan looked handsome as he partook in the anniversary celebrations of Prime Focus. Prem Chopra appeared as lively as he looked in the 80s time at the event in his black-sherwanni style suit. They were sitting at the front row accompanied by veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. Amitabh, too, had a warm conversation with Rishi that was clearly seen on his face in the stills.Amitabh and Prem seem to have sharing their old days that they had spent during the shoot of film like Do Ajnaabi. Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “Prime Focus which started with four young entrepreneurs has now become an institute of perfection in post production and digital work for all the largest entertainment industries in the world. After Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is all set to entice the audience with his upcoming film Mirza, which has written by Gulzar. The film will star Harshvardhan Kapoor, son of Anil Kapoor, in the titular role."I found Mirza on the sets of Delhi 6," Mehra says. "I was shooting in Delhi with Sonam, and Harshvardhan just happened to be hanging around. I looked at him, and my gaze stopped. This man has a dramatic presence." Once he saw him, Mehra was all mesmerized, and went to Sonam to ask about his discovery of the day, as he was not aware that she was his sibling. "She giggled. And then she told me that he was her younger brother. At that point, I didn't know that he'd make his way as Mirza, but one thing I knew for sure - I wanted to make him act." He further reveals that after meeting Harshvardhan, they both kept in touch, and then he went on to sign him for Mirza, before the release of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.The film will be ready only by 2015. As of now Mehra is looking for Sahiban (Mirza's lover). "There's very little time to prepare. With Mirza, I want to explore the intricacies of romance. I want to find my expression of love - which I've never attempted."Way to go!

B-town actor Vidyut Jamwal is all set to flaunt his action skills yet again in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja. Speaking about the same, Jamwal said Dhulia is such a fine filmmaker that it is not right to question the filmmaker’s decision or doubt his instructions."It's not a big role in Bullett Raja, but the action I do in the film is completely different," said Vidyut, who debuted with Force, and was next seen in Commando. Vidyut is a nationa-level gymnast, and is an expert in     , which is a form of martial arts from Kerala."Whatever he said, I did it in the film because you can't question a filmmaker like Tigmanshu, he is one of the greatest filmmakers in our country," he said of Dhulia. Bullett Raja stars Saif Ali Khan in lead role, and the promos of the films are out.Happy with the response the promos are getting, Vidyut said, "It's amazing and very overwhelming when you get positive response from the audience. As I said, it's not a big role, but the bits and pieces that the audience has seen in the promos, they have liked it so far."Bullett Raja is set for release on November 29!

Actress-producer Sharon Stone is presently to India where she attended an amfAR fund-raising event. The event was attended by who’s and who’s of Bollywood and she was glad to meet such well-known personalities.Stone was pleased to meet the B-town couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, and she found them very generous."Aishwarya had come to Cannes as she is the L'Oreal girl. It is very gracious of her to come here. I am looking forward to see the husband and wife today (Sunday) evening. They are so generous people," Stone told reporters before the event started.For those unaware, Abhishek and Aishwarya hosted the amfAR event on Sunday (November 17, 2013) night. Talking about India, she said that she is in love with the country, and is looking forward to see Taj Mahal. She says, "I love this country, India is beautiful.
