From the moment Anil Kapoor bought the Indian Version official rights of the famous American T.V Series 24, The Trade, Press, Media and Viewers started drawing certain comparisons. Some started comparing Anil Kapoor with Keifer Sutherland, while others started analyzing Indian Viewer's acceptance towards the show. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Can 24 become a platform where a T.V watching viewer starts accepting big stars on small screen (On a Serial Format, of course and not in some Game or Reality based shows)?The serial's first episode starts with an explanation from its protagonist Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) where he explains how India has faced some major terrorist attacks and for which Indian Government has formed ATU (Anti-Terrorist Unit) to protect our country from any such future damages. Jai Singh Rathod is the head of this ATU.Jai Singh Rathod is celebrating his wife Trisha Rathod's (Tisca Chopra) birthday along with his daughter Kiran (Sapna Pabbi). Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

After a long time, singer Sonu Nigam has composed music of any film album, and it is Sooper Se Ooper. However, as per the latest development, he is unhappy with the makers of the film, as he claims that Reliance Entertainment, the producers of the film, which releases on October 25, has not yet released its music."This is deliberate sabotage. No promotion, no publicity, they have not even given a letter of consent to T-Series so they can start playing the music on TV channels. I am furious with this step motherly treatment," said Nigam, while speaking to the sources. It is learnt that with the film, Sonu has collaborated with Bickram Ghosh, the classical and neo-fusion musician, for the first time. When sources got in touch with CEO of Reliance Entertainment, Sanjeev Lamba, he said, "All partners are meeting tomorrow to discuss the film's release. Till we agree on firm plans, it's premature to comment on this." Meanwhile, sources from T-Series, who have the music rights for the movie, said, "We are doing our bit and we have already started playing the film's music on our YouTube channel."We hope the proper steps would be taken!

It seems Life OK’s mythological show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, which stars TV heartthrob Mohit Raina as Lord Shiva, has lost its charm. Earlier it was reported that the channel is not getting good TRPs from the show and now it is said that its actors are quitting the show.Puja Banerjee who portrays the role of Lord Parvati is said to have quit the show owning some health issues. Interestingly, Puja was featured in the show after replacing popular actress Sonarika Bhadoria. She played the character for four months only. But unlike Sonarika, who was shown the door citing some payment issues, the actress herself has decided to quit the show.According to the close sources of the actress it is get to know that Puja couldn’t manage to overcome from her health issues and dedicate her time to the show. “Puja has been complaining about health issues for some time. The schedule is physically exhausting for her. She conveyed the problem to the production house and they released her. Her notice period ends in January, next year. The channel tried its best to convince her, but in vain,” sources said.Now, the team of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev is looking for the replacement of Puja Banerjee. Buzz doing around the telly world has that popular actor Shantanu Maheshwari aka Sham of popular show Dil Dostii Dance (Cinevistaas Productions) on Channel V has decided to quit the show. However, the young actor stabbed the report saying he is going nowhere and will stick to the show till its end.According to the sources, “The creative head of the show, Palki Malhotra with whom Shantanu shares a very close relation was shown the door, allegedly because of her affinity towards him. With co-actors Shakti Mohan and Kunwar Amar supposedly not liking the importance Shantanu was showered in terms of screen time, and complaining to the channel about the same, the lanky guy was left alone when his dear friend Palki, bid farewell to the show.”It was also buzzed that Shantanu spreading news that he too has decided to close the D3 chapter from his book, when his sole pillar of support is no more with him in it. It is said to be the reason Shantanu walking out of the show.  However, Shantanu come out rubbishing all the rumors saying, “I really don’t want to give any reasons to all these rumours, but would just want to tell my fans that I am not quitting D3. I am very much a part of it, so they need not get anxious.”This must be a relief for the fans of Shantanu.

The show is a Hindi adaption of American series with same name. Written by Rensil D'Silva and Bhavani Iyer, directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Anil Kapoor Films, it will premiere on the Viacom co-owned Colors channel on 4th October 2013.

Upcoming film Khoobsurat will be a family entertainment that has Sonam Kapoor as its leading lady, Anil Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor as its producers. It would be produced by The Walt Disney Studios and proud father Anil said it is going to be a happy venture.“My daughters have grown up watching Disney movies, so it's exciting to see this collaboration. We have worked hard on the script and are sure the film will have universal appeal,” said Anil Kapoor, who is currently enthralling TV audience with his debut show 24 on Colors channel.Talking about the upcoming family production film, Khoobsurat has just gone on floors in Bikaner, Rajasthan. It revolves around Mili (Sonam), a vivacious girl who turns the lives of a royal family upside down. For the film, Sonam, who is known for his fashion has gone to adopt a de-glam look. About the film she said, “When you look at Walt Disney's life, his whole purpose was to entertain people and make them happy. And, in this film, Mili makes things happy and Khoobsurat.”Disney UTV’s Managing Director Siddharth Roy Kapur, further added, “The script is endearing and entertaining... it will be a fun experience for the whole family.”Khoobsurat will also see Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Aamir Raza Hussain and being directed and  written by ad-filmmaker Shashank Ghosh. It is scheduled to hit theatres in mid-2014.

Katrina sent out another message asking her team to cancel the visit to the third venue because she wasn't happy with the security arrangements there.” The venue was located in the densely populated Meena Bazaar and following her concerns, the security was promptly doubled but the actress still refused to budge from her stand. The drama not ends here. When the day was about to end, Katrina had another change of heart. She messaged her team asking them to call all members of the press back to the first venue at 6.15 pm. By now the journalists had enough of her starry tantrums and when the star reached the venue hardly a handful had turned up, among them a leading TV channel. Ekta Kapoor’s long running TV show Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV has been grabbing attention post the big-fat generation leap. Ankita Lokhande, the protagonist is now seen playing double role and the storyline has been shifted to a completely new block. In the coming episodes, Ankita (Ankita Lokhande) will be seen taking a major decision of her life. To bring out her family from the financial crisis, she will get herself ready to marry her boss Naren (Karan Mehra), who suffers from a mental ailment. Actor and anchor Karan Wahi is a busy man nowadays as he has been juggling with juggling between shooting for his upcoming film and hosting the reality show Nach Baliye 6. And recently he made a quick trip to Pink City for some work.Upon his arrival, he said, "I am here just for a day and I don't think I will be able to take out time to explore the city. I will probably have to find time later and come and explore Jaipur."Recalling his first trip to the city, he said, "I think I was in the sixth or the seventh standard when I first came to Jaipur. At that time, I had visited many forts and palaces, but the one place that I remember is Hawa Mahal. After that, for some reason, I haven't been able to make a trip to the city in which I could go around and explore various places. In between, I had come for a day to play a match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the city." In his debut TV show Remix, Karan played a boy from Rajasthan, which was very much evident in his dialogues as well. "My first role was that of a Rajput boy. But at that time, I didn't have to do much research on that character. The channel and the production house had done the research and told me how to portray it. It would be a completely family affair when Shatrughan Sinha’s production house Shotgun Films’ upcoming film to launch his twin sons Luv and Kush Sinha as main lead role. The production house has also signed director Umesh Shukla for its second film that will feature Sonakshi Sinha as its protagonist. The belle, who has already proved her acting powers, is excited about the re-launch of Shotgun Films. “Everybody has their own production house today. Since we have in-house actors, director and producer, it’s all sorted. Dad later went into politics. As kids we knew he was in show business but didn't look beyond that. So it's great that today we three are reviving the banner. Dad's thrilled and proud of us,” Sonakshi beamed.Does it mean the audience will get to see father-daughter sharing screen space in the coming production ventures? Sonakshi says, “I would love to. But we have to find something that suits his booming personality, he can't do a film for the heck of it.”Shatrughan Singh, who is currently active in political services, was last seen in Hindi film Rakta Charitra, released on 2010. He has been out from film making and acting since. But his presence is quite visible in television serials.
