The Ashtami celebrations at The North Bengal Sarbajanin Durga Puja at The Tulip Star, Juhu on 12th Oct, 2013, had celebrated Music composer, Pritam and his musicians enthrall the audience with a show that got everyone to their feet from the word go. The show had Pritam and his band belt out one hit number after another with performances from renowned singers- Rekha Bhardwaj, Harshdeep Kaur, Neeti Mohan, Ash King and Javed Ali among others. The energy of the performances soon spread to the audience who were on their feet as the singers came down and mingled with them. We saw some cool dance moves from directors Anurag Basu, Ayan Mukerji and their families while Pritam matched them step by step!!The stage is now set for none other than Sukhwinder Singh who will perform on Nobomi night-13th Oct, 2013.

Miss Lovely marks the first release for Easel, the brainchild of distribution executive Abhishek Gautam and filmmakers Bikramjit Gupta, Atanu Mukherjee and Pooja Gupte. Veteran distributor Sunny Khanna is in with Easel and Eagle to release Miss Lovely, according to Screen Daily.“We hope to release across 200-300 screens,” said Abhishek Gautam. “As a team we want to focus on distributing independent cinema in India.” The company will also release Sangee Thongdok’s Crossing Bridges, made in the north-east Indian dialect of Sherdukpen, that premiered at Mumbai Film Festival.Meanwhile, former IFC Films executive Ryan Werner and distribution agency Required Viewing are working on the US release of Miss Lovely, which is scheduled for March 2014. Cinetic Media’s FilmBuff is handling digital distribution for North America.Miss Lovely premiered at Cannes in Un Certain Regard in 2012 and won best film in the India Gold competition at last year’s Mumbai Film Festival. Fortissimo Films sold the film to France’s Ad Vitam in Cannes 2012.

B-town actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is all excited about her upcoming films, however she is looking forward to the most is Dev Benegal’s film Bombay Samurai, where she will star opposite Farhan Akhtar. Career-wise things are not flourishing for Kareena, as two have her films, Satyagraha and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein failed to impress the audience.  However, she thinks that things will change with Bombay Samurai, which is a crazy zany rollicking roller coaster ride with amazing twists and turns. Sources close to the project, said, "There are seven to eight pivotal characters. But Kareena and Farhan Akhtar preside over the show.""They play a couple like no other seen before in our films. They are wacky and unpredictable. The two actors will have a ball playing their outgoing zestful characters," the sources added. It is learnt that both Bebo and Farhan are keen to work with each other. Says Farhan, "I've seen Kareena's work. She is consistently excellent. I was keen to work with her. Dev's film gives us a chance to try something different."Kareena, on the other side, "I admire Farhan for being multi-talented. Which other director has done so well as an actor? Farhan took my breath away in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. I am really looking forward to working with him."Little birdie chirps that the film will go on the floors post Kareena's annual holiday in Switzerland in December.

Numero uno actress Deepika Padukone was lauded in a huge manner for her dance performance in Nagada Sang Dhol from Ram-Leela. However, if given the chance to performance again on the song, she feels it would be almost impossible for her to do it without film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.In fact, the actress feels that the song’s popularity was the least expected of the lot. "There were other songs in the album which we thought would become popular, this was the underdog. In fact, I am doing a show where I am expected to recreate that magic but I don't think I'll be able to do that if I don't have Sanjay to direct," said Deepika.For those unaware, Deepika will be performing at the Temptation Reloaded show in Dubai on Sunday with stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. Recently, she also completed the shooting of Homi Adajania’s directorial English film Finding Fanny Fernandes."It should be ready to release soon," she revealed. "I am also doing Happy New Year with Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, all fun boys to work with. Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3’s song, Malang. The song has been shot at a huge height of about 80 feet and Aamir was to rotate 60 times in a minute for the same.Aamir plays the role of a gymnast in Dhoom 3 and this was required. It is the first time the actor will be doing a thing like that. However, the perfectionist that he is, the actor willingly took it up without complaints and wanted to do it just the right way. It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot of the song and Aamir Khan was on medication for those many days. The medication was to help him keep nausea down. As he was at a huge height, taking turns, it is human to feel nauseated.Also to make sure all is well, the makers of the movie specially called a doctor, who works with gymnasts, to be on the sets to help Aamir. Dhoom 3 is a high on energy song. In terms of scale or budgets it is going to be massive. The song is around the central theme of gymnastic and will have 200 dancers in the frame.Spokesperson of Aamir Khan says, "The song was being shot at about 80 feet from the ground. To do this, Aamir was on special medication to be able to perform at ease without major effects on his health."

Actor Jimmy Shergil and director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s collaboration has been running ever since the latter debuted in Bollywood with Haasil. Be it Charas, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns or latest release Bullett Raja, Jimmy is one common thing in all the mentioned films.Released on November 28, Bullett Raja features Saif Ali Khan in the title role with his lady of affection being Sonakshi Sinha. Jimmy plays Saif’s partner in crime and has covered prominent part in the film. While Saif plays a character with an adventurous streak, Jimmy plays a much more headstrong guy.“The three of us have a lot of sequences together though, as you can see from the promos. The film's script is such that it brings us together. It would definitely have been a different space for Sonakshi to be working with Tigmanshu. However I could sense that Sonakshi was comfortable in what she was doing. As for Saif then well, he adapted to things so well from day one. He was bang on as the character. According to me, it is one of his finest performances. No one has ever seen Saif on these lines,” averred Jimmy.About the director, he added, “Tigmanshu was clear from the very beginning during the narration stage itself that bond between Saif and I had to be very prominent right through the film's narrative. Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala and starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, the film traverses six states of north India and captures the landscape of the different regions as it goes along.Highway Diaries, are short video snippets that capture the journey of the film and all the exciting experiences that the cast and crew had during its making.In the latest episode of Highway Diaries, the film crew is seen shooting on their way to Ajmer from Gurgaon. They have just crossed Haryana and the director Imtiaz Ali and his team savour the daal-roti at a dhaba near the Haryana-Rajasthan border check-post. Pointing towards the check-post, Imtiaz Ali says, “We have just crossed into Rajasthan and in that distance I think the texture of the food has changed”.Highway will release on February 21st 2014!
