She said, “This particular representation at border is unique. I always wanted to go to the border and I was looking to get an opportunity to go to Kargil. Sharman Joshi and I went to Wagah Border when we were shooting for Rang De Basanti. I always had this imagination of going there after seeing Border, LOC and to know as to what happens there.”The actress will be seen playing the role of a reporter in the movie. It also stars Sharman Joshi, Jaaved Jaffrey, Dalip Tahil and Mukul Dev. The movie will hit screen son the 11th of October.

From the moment Anil Kapoor bought the Indian Version official rights of the famous American T.V Series 24, The Trade, Press, Media and Viewers started drawing certain comparisons. Some started comparing Anil Kapoor with Keifer Sutherland, while others started analyzing Indian Viewer's acceptance towards the show. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Can 24 become a platform where a T.V watching viewer starts accepting big stars on small screen (On a Serial Format, of course and not in some Game or Reality based shows)?The serial's first episode starts with an explanation from its protagonist Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) where he explains how India has faced some major terrorist attacks and for which Indian Government has formed ATU (Anti-Terrorist Unit) to protect our country from any such future damages. Jai Singh Rathod is the head of this ATU.Jai Singh Rathod is celebrating his wife Trisha Rathod's (Tisca Chopra) birthday along with his daughter Kiran (Sapna Pabbi). Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

After coming out with the confession regarding his homosexuality, singer Ricky Martin felt liberated, and about the same, he spoke recently. It was in 2010 that Martin accepted being a gay, and claimed that it would be wonderful if he can successfully do that again.Martin, 41, said that he was really scared about the feedback of his peers. "I was terrified. I had to really work on my self esteem to understand that it`s all about self love, and other people`s opinions weren`t what was important," Martin wrote to a fan during a Facebook chat."What was important was accepting myself exactly as I am, as I was born. I insist, it wasn`t easy, but wow, I wish I could come out again because it felt like I could `high five` God`," he added. For those unaware, the singer has twins Matteo and Valentino via surrogacy. Earlier, the Livin` la Vida Loca hitmaker had also revealed that he used to bully those people who were gay. "I look back now and realise I would bully people who I knew were gay. I had internalized homophobia. To realise that was confronting to me. Fear is always about the worst that can happen.  Once you start experiencing things and taking challenges, going after what you're afraid of and doing things, you start losing your fear. You realise that even if things don't turn up how you expect them to, life goes on and things are not really as bad as you expect them to be even in the worst times,'' says the 30-year-old actress. Continuing further, she said, ''It's all about letting go of your fears and not being afraid to do whatever you need to do.'' At the same time, she denied being in relationship with Ranbir Kapoor and claimed to be single rather. "I am single until I get married. This sentence was mine and now everybody uses it. I should have a copyright over it. Also, I have no plans to get married yet," said Katrina Kaif. Quizzed why the alleged couple is always stalked by the media, she answered, "May be, because everyone is single or married. I don't mind people running behind me. The youngest, cutest but a non-performer of Bigg Boss house, Pratyusha Banerjee  has been eliminated from the house after a tough vote-out last Saturday. She was in elimination with likes Gauhar Khan, Kamya Punjabi, Tanisha Mukherjee and Ajaz Khan. It was said to be the toughest vote-out of the season, where each contestant was equally important to the show.Talking about the experience on the show, Pratyusha admits that she felt vulnerable and unprotected as one of the inmates. “I was the youngest and I am also a very private person. I connect with very few close friends in real life. Suddenly, I was thrown together with all these people I had never met. Everyone in there was much older than me. It was scary. But it was also a challenge. I’ve come away from the experience much stronger and I’d like to think wiser.”Pratyusha is said to have dropped her popular show Balika Vadhu to participate in Bigg Boss. She added that she have made some good friends in there. “Kamya Punjabi was my best friend in there. I also grew very close to Armaanji (Armaan Kohli), Tanisha Mukherjee and very recently Ajaz Khan who entered Bigg Boss very late. They’re my friends for life.”As for doing another reality show, Pratyusha said, “Not for a very long time. And even if I am offered one, I’d think very carefully before doing it. Once Amitabh Bachchan said in a statement that people in filmdom used to criticise him in his initial stage because of his giraffe length height, but instead of getting disappointed from the comments he fought with the community and proved his mettle to the entire industry.Something similar has experienced by Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur, who says when she landed in tinsel town, people had different opinions about her look. She had an illiberal experience when a filmmaker advised her to go for a plastic surgery. She said, “When I came into the industry, people had different opinions about how I look. Some told me I was too pretty, others said I wasn't fair enough or tall enough. Nearly seven years ago, I was even advised by a filmmaker to consider plastic surgery. Soon, I stopped thinking about what works.”The actress, who stars in much acclaimed film The Lunchbox, has been now praised for her looks and performance by audience and critics as well. About the success she said, “I am happy with the kind of launch I have got. It is a very exciting time for actors as roles that can surprise them are being written. This was not the case 15 years ago. A film like The Dirty Picture would not have been possible then. Also we, including the audience, are more exposed to world cinema these days. Its effect has seeped into the industry. Filmmakers today have a wider vocabulary.”Way to girl!

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji shared great rapport with late filmmaker Yash Chopra, and even though it has been one year since his passing, she is still not comfortable talking about him in past tense. "I don't like to talk about Yash uncle in past tense. He is a living legend and will always be there in our hearts and lives," Rani said.The actress was speaking at a function where the inaugural National Yash Chopra Memorial Award was presented to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Saturday. The event was also attended by Chopra’s widow Pamela. "She (Mangeshkar) is the most deserving recipient of the award. They had an emotional connect," said Rani."It has been a year since Yash uncle passed away, but the young generation will remember him through this award and his films. Lataji was down with fever and doctors had advised her rest, but she still came for the function. This speaks volumes about her," concluded Rani with a heavy heart.For those unaware, the award was organised by a foundation led by industrialist-politician T Subbarami Reddy, who has produced Hindi films like Vijay, Chandni and Lamhe.You will always be missed Yashji!

Film industry’s well-known director Krishna Shah has recently died on October 13. Veteran actress Zeenat Aman, who had worked with the filmmaker in film Shalimar, says he was a warm and hospitable man, who loved cinema and was always excited about the new projects.The 61-year-old actress about her coordinal terms with Krishna Shah said, “I met Krishna Shah for the last time about eight to nine months ago at his home in Juhu where he had a get-together for close friends. He was his usual friendly effusive self, looking after all his guests personally, making sure everyone was comfortable. Krishna Shah was a very warm and hospitable man. I had great fun shooting Shalimar with him. My god that was 35 years ago, it seems like yesterday.”She added that Shalimar was made simultaneously in Hindi and English and with international stars of the calibre of Rex Harrison and Gina Lolobrigida. “Off course, Gina later backed out, and we had Sylvia Miles instead. In fact, the film created a whole lot news and speculation even before we began shooting. I remember we were in Bangalore for the shooting in two languages English and Hindi. Dharamji (her co-star Dharmendra) and I were burning the midnight oil. When we were not shooting, he was with his English tutor brushing up his English dialogues, and I was with my Hindi tutor improving my Hindi,” Zeenat recalled.Zeenat added that Krishna was caring person who always made sure all of us were comfortable. “He loved cinema. I remember once when we met, he spent considerable time speaking of my cameo in Bhopal Express. He would always be excited about the next film that he was doing, and then the one after that... He would discuss the movies he wanted me to be in.”The film Shalimar might not have worked at the box office, but the songs by RD Burman play on to this day. They were like Aaina Wohi Rehta Hai, Hum Bewafaa Hargiz Na The and One Two Cha Cha Cha.

Recently the first look of Shah Rukh Khan’s newborn son AbRam was revealed. Even though it was not a close look, but still it mattered to his fans, as it was the first sight of SRK and his wife Gauri’s surrogate child. And AbRam’s daddy dearest has all good things to say about the little kid, as he says when his infant kid is around, everyday is a festival for the family."We are very happy that he is part of our lives. With him around, everyday is a festival for us as he is in the house," Shah Rukh said.At the same time, he revealed how disappointed his was learning about Sachin Tendulkar’s retirement. "When I heard about it I was in Australia...I learnt about it a little late...I felt bad. He has taken the decision as he understands sports better. He did a lot for cricket.
