Director Anurag Kashyap's Ugly is one of his most-awaited films. The film was screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. It is produced by Phantom Films (Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena) and Dar Motion Pictures Ltd. (Arun Rangachari & Shahnaab Alam).

Amrita Rao has once again come into action by coming back on screen after a long time. The actress who is known for her versatility and sweetness started her career opposite Shahid Kapoor with the movie Ishq Vishq Pyaar Vyaar. Amrita will next be seen in Sunny Deol’s movie Singh Sahab The Great.

Hollywood actress Judi Dench, who went through the drastic surgery last month, after she had complained of chronic pain for several years, is back to action just six-weeks after the operation. The actress recently walked down the red carpet to promote her film Philomena.She recently attended the London screening of the film, and while walking through the red carpet, she didn’t need any cane or something. She says, "The scar's from here to here, there to there. I have a completely new knee now. It's brilliant. When I had it done on September 6, I said to my surgeon 'On October 16 I will walk up a red carpet unaided', and so I did. You set your mind to a goal and go for it."While speaking to the sources at the event, she revealed that she has no such plans to retire from acting, as this is the word which is banned at her house. She adds, "I'm not feeling my age at all. I am about 43, a tall willowy blonde 43-year-old with long legs. I don't want to slow down at all. We don't say the word retirement in our house. Old and retired are totally banned. Energy keeps me going."We are in the minority of people who are doing a job we chose to do and can make a living at. B-town beauty Lara Dutta, who is currently away from Bollywood, so that she could focus on raising her child, is set to put forth her designing skills as she will soon launch her own sari collection. She says that designing is her new baby."I have done films for 10 years. This is something new that I have forayed into; so it's my new baby. I am excited about the response from the customers," said Lara, who was in Delhi to launch her second sari range in association with Chhabra 555. Married to tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, Dutta, 35, started designing last year, and it was then she created a whole line of saris. "The second collection is far more traditional. Personally I am a big fan of Benarasi saris and many other old-age fabrics; so I wanted to make those weaves younger and contemporary. Normally, we associate Benarasi saris with our aunts and our mothers, but I wanted to give it a younger and trendy feel," she said. Even though she is seen less on silver screen nowadays, Lara has no qualms. "I think each thing has its own space in life. I enjoyed being busy. My priority is my daughter. That will always be my number one priority. Now she is getting older, so I am getting more time to celebrate and concentrate on my own work; so here I am promoting the brand as much as possible," she said. Wish you luck!

Vidya Balan’s last release Ghanchakkar failed to garner good reviews from the critics as well as the audience. However, now she gears up for yet another release Shaadi Ke Side Effects, where she will be seen opposite Farhan Akhtar.Director Saket Chaudhary says, "The film attempts to explain what most people fail to understand in a lifetime — what makes a marriage work!"Producer Pritish Nandy says, "The film is peppered with loads of post-marriage side effects. Veteran actress Shabana Azmi and her work would be honored at prestigious River To River film festival in Florence on November 22, 2013. She will be bestowed by Pegasus of the Region Tuscany Award by Cristina Scaletti, Tuscany's regional councilor of culture at the opening day of the fest.Other personalities and their films like Shyam Benegal’s Ankur, Mahesh Bhatt’s Arth, Vinay Shukla’s Godmother and Deepa Mehta’s Fire will also screen. Last year the River To River festival held a retrospective of Amitabh Bachchan's films.The 63-year-old actress said the Pegasus honour is big because when a state recognizes you, it's very heartening. “I'm honoured and humbled and grateful to the writers and directors who cast me in challenging roles. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-leela has kept the audience waiting eagerly for the movie ever since the release of its official trailer. Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun is one such song that has stirred the audience with the on-screen chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.Penned by Siddharth-Garima, the music is by the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. The song has Deepika and Ranveer dancing in sync with each other and showing a naughty romance through their moves. Both the lead actors reportedly underwent strenuous rehearsals for the filming of the song. In-spite of the extensive practice session neither of the actors complained. In fact Ranveer was heard saying that he had a lot of fun while shooting for the song. Vishnu Dheva, who has choreographed the crazy steps for the foot-tapping song said “they’ve done their best”. The popular television actress Suhasi Dhami promises her fans to comeback on television dailies in the beginning of next year. She was last appeared in Zee TV’s Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai and was very much appreciated for her performance of modern bahu.She is currently busy doing a play. “I am currently busy with a play named Happily Married but Phir Bhi Doubt Hota Hai.  I am satisfying my urge to do a comic role through this play. It is running good in Mumbai and people are really liking and appreciating our acts. After my stint in the daily soap Housewife Hai Yeh Sab Janti Hai went off air I got engrossed with this play.”About her return to small screen, Suhasi said, “There are always things in the pipeline but it takes a while for things to materialize. It is the same this time too. But well the viewers will get to see me on television next year now as I am heading for a vacation in December.”On her choice of show and character, she added, “See, television is trying to be experimental, but we all know that what work the most on TV is the saas-bahu shows. So it all depends upon the show that I am offered. If I am happy to experiment then I might take roles accordingly or else I would go with the saas-bahu saga. After shaking her leg on 2012’s hit number Fevicol Se, Kareena Kapoor is offered to play lead in Dabangg series in its 10th part. The protagonist of the film Salman Khan, currently seen as a popular host of Bigg Boss, expressed his wish to cast the actress in the 10th edition of the film.Kareena, who went to promote her upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in Bigg Boss, along with Imran Khan, was seen in a very jolly mood with Salman Khan, whom she had also shared screen in Bodyguard. Salman gave them a warm welcome on his show and spoke to them about their upcoming movie.On a funny moment, Kareena started pulling Salman's leg and got him a script of Dabangg 10. She requested Salman to cast her as the lead in its tenth sequel. Salman started laughing and instantly accepted her offer. Further, Salman put Kareena in a fix by asking her who is her favourite Khan. After thinking for a while, Kareena confronted Salman by telling him that he is not her favourite Khan. Shotgun's darling daughter, Sonakshi Sinha is playing a Bengali character in her upcoming Saif Ali Khan starrer Bullet Raja. It would be nice to see the actress portraying something different from her previous work where she mostly played similar kind of roles. Her bong girl avatar will be for a brief period in the film.Like seen in the promo, Sonakshi cladding in the conventional Bengali red-bordered saree along with big red bindi, gajra and alta on her hands, she would also be seen essaying the famous Bengali folk dance Jhumur in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action-thriller. As per the sources, “To perfect the dance form, the actress specially learnt Jhumur dance for the film.”Apart from high-octane action stunts, guns and goon, the film features a love-story of Saif and Sonakshi. It also stars actors like Vidyut Jamwal, Jimmy Shergill, Gulshan Grover in prominent roles. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Bullet Raja is schedule to release on November 29.We must say, with Sonakshi putting in so much effort to perfect the dance, it'll have a lasting impression on people's minds when the film hits the big screen.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who is bagging appreciations for his work in Krrish 3, which has already crossed 200- crore at the box-office, is very happy with the reception the film has garnered. He is also very happy that his father and veteran actor Suresh Oberoi praised his work."My father told me, 'I am very proud of you for being so brave. Being a hero, you accepted the role of a super villain and that too opposite a superhero like Krrish, a favourite in India'," the 37-year-old said in Mumbai on Friday (November 8, 2013) at a special screening of Krrish 3 for children.For those unaware, his father was enthralled with the fact that despite being in negative role, he has performed very well with his face and fingers. In the film, it was Hrithik Roshan, who played the superhero and was seen jumping from buildings and doing all kinds of stunts, while Vivek, as Kaal, was most of the time did his act sitting on the wheel chair. And Suresh praised Vivek for the same.And this, obviously made Vivek very happy. "It felt good because he is a father and when such a talented and senior actor praises you it always feels good," he added.Krrish 3, directed by Rakesh Roshan, also stars Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who has been a vital actress in the Bollywood industry has done various kinds of roles in her career and is currently settling for the role of a filmmaker, with her movie Dishkiyaaoon in line. The actress says that she won’t act for the other 18 months, till the time her son Viaan doesn’t start understanding her work.The actress said, “I will take At least another year-and-a-half... till Viaan is able to communicate with me and understands my work. Then may be I will think of doing a film.”Shilpa is seen on the small screens now-a-days and is also seen doing many endorsements. The actress was last seen as the judge of the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 and is gearing up to judge another season of the show.She said, “TV is easier, and for endorsements, I can command when I want to work. It's kind of suited to my current role - being a mother, the most wonderful role of my life. I am enjoying it.”She has taken a sabbatical from the industry as films take a lot of time, and she needs to give time to her son as well. She said, “Honestly, it is a self-imposed sabbatical. My priority definitely is Viaan at the moment. I haven't thought about films really, it's just too time consuming.”Talking about her production Dishkiyaaoon, the action thriller stars Harman Baweja and Sunny Deol in the lead roles. The movie will also introduce Ayesha Khanna to the industry.

It would be a completely family affair when Shatrughan Sinha’s production house Shotgun Films’ upcoming film to launch his twin sons Luv and Kush Sinha as main lead role. The production house has also signed director Umesh Shukla for its second film that will feature Sonakshi Sinha as its protagonist. The belle, who has already proved her acting powers, is excited about the re-launch of Shotgun Films. “Everybody has their own production house today. Since we have in-house actors, director and producer, it’s all sorted. Dad later went into politics. As kids we knew he was in show business but didn't look beyond that. So it's great that today we three are reviving the banner. Dad's thrilled and proud of us,” Sonakshi beamed.Does it mean the audience will get to see father-daughter sharing screen space in the coming production ventures? Sonakshi says, “I would love to. But we have to find something that suits his booming personality, he can't do a film for the heck of it.”Shatrughan Singh, who is currently active in political services, was last seen in Hindi film Rakta Charitra, released on 2010. He has been out from film making and acting since. But his presence is quite visible in television serials.
