Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, whose directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases soon, says that he wanted the film to be a two-hero two-heroine, and for the same, he wanted Saif Ali Khan to be the other hero, besides Imran Khan. "At one point of time this film was a two hero-two heroine subject. I only went to the boys. It was Saif and Imran. But for some reasons that didn't work out. I then made it into a solo hero film," says Punit. After making debut with I Hate Luv Storys, Punit took quite long to come up with his next."Imran made me wait a lot. I took three drafts to him, he had issues with first and second draft. When I went for the third time, he approved the first draft only. That led to the delay but I have no complaints," said Punit. Meanwhile, rumours had that Shahid Kapoor was approached for the project.Speaking on the same, Punit said that he did approach another actor, but denied naming him. "Imran initially rejected it, so I went to another actor, but that didn't work out and I made the changes in the script and went back to Imran and then he liked the first draft itself," he said.He also revealed that Saif rejected the offer. "Things with Saif never worked out, but he said take Kareena. We also felt at some point that there is too much happening, so we mellowed it down and made it one hero film," Punit said."We were first waiting for Imran's approval and after that happened, we started thinking about the female lead opposite him. Imran asked me who I wanted, I said Kareena but I felt she was beyond my reach," the director said."Also she had lot of projects in hand at that time. Then it so happened that she walked out of those projects and her dates opened up. I called her, narrated the script and it worked out well," he said. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22!

B-town actor Vidyut Jamwal is all set to flaunt his action skills yet again in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja. Speaking about the same, Jamwal said Dhulia is such a fine filmmaker that it is not right to question the filmmaker’s decision or doubt his instructions."It's not a big role in Bullett Raja, but the action I do in the film is completely different," said Vidyut, who debuted with Force, and was next seen in Commando. Vidyut is a nationa-level gymnast, and is an expert in     , which is a form of martial arts from Kerala."Whatever he said, I did it in the film because you can't question a filmmaker like Tigmanshu, he is one of the greatest filmmakers in our country," he said of Dhulia. Bullett Raja stars Saif Ali Khan in lead role, and the promos of the films are out.Happy with the response the promos are getting, Vidyut said, "It's amazing and very overwhelming when you get positive response from the audience. As I said, it's not a big role, but the bits and pieces that the audience has seen in the promos, they have liked it so far."Bullett Raja is set for release on November 29!

Former Victoria’s Secret supermodel Heidi Klum has made an announcement that she has decided against walking the ramp in lingerie anymore. Klum, 40, who in the past has been most sought-after bikini model, says that now she finds it all quite uncomfortable now."I wouldn`t model with my underwear down the runway anymore. I think I would find it a little uncomfortable, maybe," said Klum, who also pressed on the fact that she wouldn’t discontinue taking modelling assignments. "I still do photoshoots for covers and different things or advertising stuff," she added.On the other note, even though the actress once turned up dressing as a 95-year-old woman for Halloween bash. She was dolled-up with wrinkles and age spots, still, she isn’t scared of getting old. In fact, the model says that she won’t ever go for plastic surgery, as she finds the idea very scary. "I've never done anything," said the 40-year-old on Thursday. "I've been too scared, to be honest with you." While speaking to the sources recently, the model said that she has not yet taken fillers or injections for those pesky lines on her forehead. "Botox or bangs," she laughed. "I go for bangs. I'm scared that all of a sudden you're changing too much, your face starts changing," the mom of four said. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently attended annual lecture at the Penguin in New Delhi where he unveiled about the thoughts of his father Mr. Harivansh Ray Bachchan. He said he remains puzzled by his father's habit in his last days of watching Hindi films rather than turning to his greatest companion his beloved books.Bachchan said his father had called him his greatest poetry. “My biggest problem in my life I do not know whether I am a free verse or a couplet, a chaupai or a shloka. I don't know what he saw in the flickering darkness it had to be more than Hindi cinema's excessive poetic justice in three hours! Did he see a flame that burns itself up lighting up the fire of the written word within? We are our own monster an animal of many animal parts.”During the conversation, Big B also confessed that he would try and build a girls’ school. “True equality can only exist if the whole society embraces it,” he said. The star-kid recently talked about his childhood memories during the launch of Vimala Veeraraghavan and Shalini Singh's book Teenage Blues, where he went on to admit that his father always treated him as his buddy, and now he wants to be exact same to his daughter, Aaradhya."I wore my father's shoes when I was just 11 and since then he has always been a buddy and his idea of parenting was and he said this to me at a very young age. He said I will never hide anything from you. I will incorporate you in all your decisions and I will always ask you my opinion but your job is to make sure your opinion is something I can listen to," he said.He also revealed that Big B always treated him and his sister as equals. Tinseltown actor Robert Di Niro is seen playing memorable characters like The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. However, when he was quizzed about his real-life heroes, he named out Nelson Mandela, Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi.Niro, 70, is presently in Goa, India, where he will be participating at the ongoing THiNK Fest 2013. Sharing his thoughts, he said, "I have many real life heroes as my inspiration. Mandela, Peres, James Dean, Marlon Brando and from India... Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi. They are strong people with a big heart," De Niro said on the sidelines of the festival. "I try to be more empathetic towards my characters. I try to understand its position by putting myself in their shoes. I feel I am lucky to get into these lives without having to pay a real price," he added. When confessed that he doesn’t remember his early film days, he said, "I really don't remember..." He also said that he has no idea why he wanted to be in cinema and he started his career at the age of 16. "I dropped out of school and enrolled in Stella Adler's acting school, to the surprise of my friends and family. When she (Stella) asked me why I joined this profession, I didn't have an answer. She answered on my behalf that since I wanted to express myself so I chose this profession. I nodded and repeated the same line," he said. Speaking of Indian trip, he added, "Indian people are very nice. I came here 35 years ago and promised that I will be back in couple of years. I got busy and even tried to come last year. It is said that they have been dating for quite some time, and now their relationship is said to have gotten serious, as recently Garth met up with his family and friends recently.Sources claim that Elba, 41, entered in relationship with Garth only sometime back. "They've been together for a few months but it's really ramped up recently. They get on brilliantly and she's a real hit with his family and friends. Idris is known as a ladies' man but he's really not at all. He'd rather have banter at the bar than spend all night grafting on women. Once Amitabh Bachchan said in a statement that people in filmdom used to criticise him in his initial stage because of his giraffe length height, but instead of getting disappointed from the comments he fought with the community and proved his mettle to the entire industry.Something similar has experienced by Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur, who says when she landed in tinsel town, people had different opinions about her look. She had an illiberal experience when a filmmaker advised her to go for a plastic surgery. She said, “When I came into the industry, people had different opinions about how I look. Some told me I was too pretty, others said I wasn't fair enough or tall enough. Nearly seven years ago, I was even advised by a filmmaker to consider plastic surgery. Soon, I stopped thinking about what works.”The actress, who stars in much acclaimed film The Lunchbox, has been now praised for her looks and performance by audience and critics as well. About the success she said, “I am happy with the kind of launch I have got. It is a very exciting time for actors as roles that can surprise them are being written. This was not the case 15 years ago. A film like The Dirty Picture would not have been possible then. Also we, including the audience, are more exposed to world cinema these days. Its effect has seeped into the industry. Filmmakers today have a wider vocabulary.”Way to girl!

Attending the three day fest, Cinema beyond Boundaries in New York, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar feels good with the international film dignities. He is exchanging notes with Hollywood directors, writers and music composers on understanding the global perspective in cinema. The director also said that Indian film industry and Hollywood can learn a lot from each other as the two industries seek to cater to the evolving nature of cinema.“There will be something that I take from them and they will take from us. While Hollywood has had a huge influence on the Indian industry, Bollywood and its actors too are garnering a lot of attention in the western film world,” said the filmmaker, who is well-known for his films like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Fashion and Heroine. The event would focus on the global influence of Indian cinema, forecast changes in the fast growing and rapidly evolving filmmaking industry. “Cinema has changed drastically over the years and films are now being made in different genres like commercial, edgy and radical to cater to the tastes of an evolving viewership,” he added.“Indian cinema is no more limited to audiences in India. Son of veteran actor-comedian Jagdeep, actor Javed Jaffrey claims that he never used his father’s name to get work in the film industry. The multi-talented chap is known for his roles in films like 100 Days, Fire, Earth, Salaam Namaste, Singh is Kingg and 3 Idiots and others."Being the son or daughter of a legendary film personality you get more respect. But I have never used that as an influence to enter industry. It is not that I got work because of him. My father did not do a film for me or launched me, he wanted us to do things on our own," Javed said."Rather I never thought I will enter the film industry, it happened all by chance. Destiny played a part and brought me here in this industry," he said. Jaffrey is known for his versatility, as he has done positive, negative as well as comic roles. "I like to play all kind of roles. You can't do same stuff every time as it becomes boring. Comedy is my soft spot. But I love doing action, thriller, drama and negative. I am not comfortable with sexuality, intimate scenes," he said.Next, he will appear in debutante director Faraz Haider's War Chhod Na Yaar. "I am playing captain Qureshi from the Punjab region of Pakistan. So my tone in the film is Punjabi-Urdu. The film establishes relationship in an interesting way. I had great fun doing this film," he said.The film also stars Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali Khan!

Star-actor Saif Ali Khan is someone who has made his mark in Bollywood without belonging to any camp, and has managed to maintain steady relationship with each and every actor of the industry. Recently he gave the title of his film Yaariyan to T-Series head-honcho Bhushan Kumar.This shows that the actor very well knows the value of good relations. While speaking about the same recently, Divya Khosla Kumar said that it was really kind of Saif to give away his title. "When Bhushan heard the script, he thought Yaariyan would be the apt title for the film but when we checked the title was registered with Saif Ali Khan's company. Bhushan spoke to him and without charging anything, he gave us the title free of cost. That's really generous of him," said Divya.For those unaware, the film, which stars newcomers, will release on January 10. As of now Divya is looking forward to promote the film on TV reality show Bigg Boss Saath-7, which is hosted by superstar Salman Khan. "I know Salman and he is close to Bhushan. Bollywood actor Uday Chopra is already 41, still he is in no hurry to get married and even there is no pressure from his family as well. As of now, he is busy establishing Yash Raj Films (YRF) Entertainment abroad. Speaking to the sources recently, he said that getting marriage is not the only option today.Currently, he lives in Los Angeles, from where he manages his home banner's Hollywood wing> but nowadays he is in Mumbai for the promotions of his upcoming film Dhoom: 3, where he plays the character of Ali.Even though he has belief in marriage as an institution, still he feels that it depends on what works. "If you find a girl who doesn't want to get married, then you don't get married. It's very individualistic thinking. I don't believe that marriage as an institution is dead, but I also don't think that that's the only option you have today," he said. In fact, his mom Pamela Chopra, widow of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, is also fine with the fact that her son is still a bachelor. "She feels I will do it whenever I feel like. Now that I have started out this production work, I want to see it being productive. I want to see going forward. Once that happens, I will settle down," he said. Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, who had undergone a brain surgery for the removal of a clot in July this year, heads to an unrevealed location abroad for his medical treatment. He is reportedly been suffering bouts of headache and will undergo through the medical check-up to his surgery. Earlier, his brain operation was held at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.     His director father Rakesh Roshan also confirmed his travel plan. He said on Friday, “Hrithik is leaving on Saturday. He will be going with a friend.” When asked if Hrithik would be accompanied by his parents, Rakesh Roshan said, “We'll join him if there is a need for us to do so.” Does it mean the films, Hrithik was working on has been put on hold until he will not be done with the treatment? Sources said Hrithik's next project Shuddhi, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Karan Malhotra, has been postponed to July 2014.Sources said, “Shuddhi is a story of reincarnation. Films about rebirth are always tricky to pull off. The script of Shuddhi needs more work. Hrithik's health is not the issue here, the script needs to be polished.” Hrithik Roshan has been roped in opposite Kareena Kapoor in Shuddhi.Hrithik was last seen in Rakesh Roshan’s directorial Krrish 3 that minted huge money at box-office.
