Courtesy her two singles, In My City and Exotic, Priyanka Chopra has made quite a few friends with American singers. Recently, when she travelled New York, she was spotted rubbing shoulders with Ashanti, the R&B songstress, who is rather known for her risqué sartorial choices than her music. Priyanka was making her presence felt at the opening of a nightclub in Manhattan, when she encountered Ashanti. Despite the first meet, they appeared to be quite friendly with each other, and quickly struck up a conversation and then happily posed for the shutterbugs. Looks like, Pee Cee is quite enjoying making new friends in the USA, as last time she was spotted partying with football stars including Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and this time it is with pop-stars. Meanwhile, if we speak of her Bollywood career, she would be seen shaking a leg in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Ramleela, where she has donned a white choli and dhoti with a thigh high slit.Choreographed by Prabhu Deva's brother Vishnu Dev, the item number was shot in the Film City Studios. Impressed with Priyanka's dancing skills, Vishnu tweeted: “Ram leela 2nd song finished with Priyanka she is fabulous dancer and fun working with her.”The film features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as its leading stars, and also stars Richa Chadda, Supriya Pathak, Gulshan Devaiah, Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh, Shweta Salve, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and Sharad Kelkar.

Entire B-town is gung-ho about the recently released trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming directorial Ramleela. They all have good things to say about the way the film has been picturised, and it is very much visible in the trailer.The chemistry between the lead pair, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is cracking, and it has already become the talk of the town.Amitabh Bachchan said on a social networking site, "Saw trailer of Ramleela...stunning! The colours, the passion, the Deepika...!!" On the other side, Deepika’s Happy New Year director, Farah Khan said, "The trailer is fabulous. Deepika looks fantastic; the chemistry between her and Ranveer looks good. The film seems to bring back the memories of Sanjay's previous films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas. It looks very happy and colourful."Bhansali is over cloud nine hearing the appreciation coming his way. "The film is extremely close to my heart and for its first glance to be received this warmly, is overwhelming," he says. Producer Sunil Lulla said, "We are ecstatic with the unanimous, positive reviews and we couldn't be more excited with the reception."Ram Leela, produced by Eros International, releases November 15.

This news can cause a big worry to the fans of Ramleela star Ranveer Singh, as the actor, who is hospitalized in a suburban Mumbai hospital after being diagnosed with dengue, has shown no signs of improvement, even after being admitted for more than 60 hours.Ranveer is admitted to the Hinduja Surgical Health Care in Khar. Sources claim that the actor is currently put in isolation, and the doctors had even contemplated of shifting him to Intensive Care unit, but decided otherwise. "Ranveer's platelet count is not improving and he is experiencing excruciating pain in his bones and severe bouts of shivering. His parents are keeping vigil but they too are not allowed to meet him," said the sources. Singh, 28, contracted the disease when he was shooting in the coalmines of Durgapur, West Bengal. However, despite being unwell, he ignored it and continued shooting till the shoot’s wrap. And once he returned to Mumbai, he was diagnosed with an advanced stage of dengue. "He didn't pay much attention to it but if he was diagnosed two days earlier his condition may not have worsened the way it has," added the sources. Speaking of his alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone, it is learnt that she has not paid him any visit so far, as she is out of Mumbai. Sources said, "She is currently in Goa, busy shooting for Homi Adajania's film. But I guess she keeps herself updated about his condition."Get well soon, chap!

From costumes designing of the lead protagonists to look of the song, he has given his own style to the track. He himself worked on the outfit of Deepika, who is looking drop dead gorgeous in her red lehenga, while Ranveer is looking quite splendid in his red turban.  The song, released on the festivity of Navratri, has turned extremely popular among garba lovers and is heard playing during the entire Dandiya festival. The song will remind you off Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan's Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje song from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is one such actor who has high regard for his female actresses, and it was only few months’ back that he announced that his name would be preceded by his heroine's name in his films. And it started with Deepika Padukone, with whom he starred in Chennai Express.On his part, SRK feels that the decision was no big deal. He was speaking at NDTV-Vedanta's Our Girls, Our Pride fundraising telethon. As a believer in ‘ladies first’, SRK didn’t think that it was that big a gesture. He said, "I don't think it's a huge gesture. When I started out, I had some really wonderful ladies like Madhuri, Juhi and Sridevi helping me out with my work and as the years passed they started giving me star status and it became very embarrassing. So I decided to put my name at the end and the lady's before mine."SRK was speaking to telethon co-hosts Priyanka Chopra and Vikram Chandra via satellite from Dubai. He was also upset with the fact that in India female foeticide still exists. "It is an extremely unfortunate thought process. A child is a child and I don't think any woman or boy is better than the other. Each person has his or her own circumstances and education. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has always been respectable towards women, and he proved it to the world when he ensured that the actress’ name in his movie, came first in the credit roles, and it came true when Deepika Padukone’s name appeared before his name in Chennai Express’ credit roles.And now the actor intends in doing the same in award shows next year. The sources had recently quizzed the actor that he wanted the actress’ name to come first in awards as well, he replied in affirmative.He said, "I think they should do it. I am hosting an award show next year and I will ensure that the best actress award should be saved for the last. It is a nice thing. Hindi films, and films at large, are a little patriarchal. But don't worry. It will change in the next ten years. Women will rule."While speaking to the sources, he revealed that director and good friend R Balki's Tata Tea ad inspired him to put Deepika's name in the beginning of the film. "Balki had made that ad for Tata Tea and I got the idea. Since Chennai Express is our film, I could take the call. We will do the same thing with Farah's Happy New Year," he added.Respect for you!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-leela has kept the audience waiting eagerly for the movie ever since the release of its official trailer. Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun is one such song that has stirred the audience with the on-screen chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.Penned by Siddharth-Garima, the music is by the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. The song has Deepika and Ranveer dancing in sync with each other and showing a naughty romance through their moves. Both the lead actors reportedly underwent strenuous rehearsals for the filming of the song. In-spite of the extensive practice session neither of the actors complained. In fact Ranveer was heard saying that he had a lot of fun while shooting for the song. Vishnu Dheva, who has choreographed the crazy steps for the foot-tapping song said “they’ve done their best”. Post the successful launch of beau Sushant Singh Rajput, telly actress Ankita Lokhande was also looking to make debut in Bollywood. Her dream was even about to accomplish but she missed the chance. Ankita informs that she was offered Shahrukh Khan starrer upcoming film Happy New Year but things couldn’t happen in her favour. The role is now being played Deepika Padukone.Ankita, currently seen playing double role in Zee TV’s long running show Pavitra Rishta, says, “I was considered for this role, so it is a good thing. It is unfortunate it couldn't happen. I don't know why things did not work out. I think there is a prejudice against TV actors. I was working on TV, and if I was considered for it is a big thing.”Happy New Year, a story which revolves around a bunch of male friends and how situation forces them to participate in a dance competition, is being directed by Farah Khan. The female lead will apparently play the role of a bar dancer, who will help these friends win the dance trophy. It also features Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani in prominent roles. It will also mark Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan Shah’s debut.
