Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is most remembered for his role as Wolverine, may quit the quit the franchise soon, as he says that playing the character has been very compelling for him. It has been for a decade since Jackman has been playing the heroic mutant.Recently he spoke in length about his thoughts on reprising the iconic role. "Great parts always outgrow the actors that play them. If you forget that, it`s at your own peril. They are working on it now, and it would have to be very compelling for me to do it again. I`ve been doing it for 10 years," he said.On the idea of switching comic book characters or doing a crossover, the 44-year-old, said, "The great thing about comic books is that they threw Batman in with Wolverine or Spiderman. I have people ask me all the time, `Do you think Spider-Man can beat Wolverine?` It`s part of the DNA."He was speaking at the Spain film festival, where he had accompanied director Denis Villeneuve to promote his new movie Prisoners. There he was to receive the Donostia Award for the lifetime achievement at the special screening of the movie on September 27."Humbled and honoured by the award. My wife Deborra-Lee Furness won the Silver Shell in Los Angeles in San Sebastian in 1991 for her role in `Waiting`, so we`re going to just call it the Jackman-Furness Award if that`s alright with you."Keep up the good work!

Be it  Manisha Koirala in Khamoshi — The Musical, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Madhuri Dixit Nene in Devdas or Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya, the filmmaker is known for giving some of the most unforgettable roles.He promises to continue the tradition with his next, Ram Leela and says the audience will see Deepika Padukone in never seen before avatar. Deepika as Leela will be in her most graceful but spicy on-screen appearance, he claims. SLB said, “Leela is like my mother — beautiful, graceful, but teekhi! She's delicate, but she cannot be taken lightly. She isn't a recluse. She lives life to the fullest and on her own terms. She is colour, she is what she is... I wanted Deepika to be that.” It is also informed by director that for the look of Deepika, a Gujarati girl, he wanted to keep it as natural to his vision. Minimalistic make-up by Mehera Kolah and an undone light bouffant ensured that the actress looked ethereal. He himself visited Gujarat for Deepika's outfits, which has been designed by Anju Modi. Deepika added, “Apart from the fact that he is one of the most celebrated directors, Sanjay sir has always been known for the way he presents his heroines. So, other than getting to work with him, I was excited about my look in the film. His attention to detail, combined with Anju Modi's creative brilliance, helped Leela come alive.”About her experience of working with Bhansali, Modi says, “He doesn't believe in restricting creativity and that makes it a dream for any designer.”Produced by Eros International and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ram Leela also stars Ranveer Singh. It is releasing on November 15.

Grapevine is abuzz that Karan Johar’s upcoming film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD), directed by Ayan Mukerji, brings together the Kapur trio, Siddharth Roy Kapur, UTV CEO, Kunaal Roy Kapur, actor and Aditya Roy Kapur.

From the moment Anil Kapoor bought the Indian Version official rights of the famous American T.V Series 24, The Trade, Press, Media and Viewers started drawing certain comparisons. Some started comparing Anil Kapoor with Keifer Sutherland, while others started analyzing Indian Viewer's acceptance towards the show. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Can 24 become a platform where a T.V watching viewer starts accepting big stars on small screen (On a Serial Format, of course and not in some Game or Reality based shows)?The serial's first episode starts with an explanation from its protagonist Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) where he explains how India has faced some major terrorist attacks and for which Indian Government has formed ATU (Anti-Terrorist Unit) to protect our country from any such future damages. Jai Singh Rathod is the head of this ATU.Jai Singh Rathod is celebrating his wife Trisha Rathod's (Tisca Chopra) birthday along with his daughter Kiran (Sapna Pabbi). Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

However, Vidya Balan feels that remaking Mehboob Khan's Oscar-nominated Mother India is an unattainable feat and even if anyone tries to do so, she will never be a part of it. Vidya has donned the look of Nargis, as a tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema look from the 1957 cult film Mother India and Meena Kumari's from the 1962-classic Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, for Cineblitz's special edition.

Amitabh Bachchan, who in the past has produced movies such as Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap, Paa, Family — Ties of Blood, etc, under his production company Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd (ABCL), now has plans to produce Sudhir Mishra’s film, which stars him as the lead.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is nowadays considered as king of comedy, after all we must admit that his comic timing is brilliant. He has showcased his funny side in rom-coms such as Cocktail, Love Aaj Kal, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum and his upcoming film Go Goa Gone is wholly from comedy genre. Alba, 32 says that it wouldn’t have been possible for her to juggle with her film career, eco-friendly baby products line, new lifestyle book and also raising daughters Honor-five, and Haven, two, had not her hubby supported her."Cash is the best husband in the world. I would not have been able to keep my company going and do the book if I didn`t have him there for me and help with the children. He is always very considerate and understanding of who I am and my goals. We complement each other very well," said Alba.At the same time, the couple also manages to make some time for each other as they feel it is really necessary for a marriage to work. "We make sure we have enough time to be together where we can shut out the world. Superstar Aamir Khan has always been known as peace lover, and the latest it is learnt that the Dhoom3 actor has got himself a new nest.He has bought an apartment at Carter Road in Bandra. He has been staying in this locality on rent for last few months, as the renovation work is going on at his home in Marina Apartments at Pali Hill. After staying in a Carter Road flat for few months, Aamir and his wife Kiran Rao developed immense liking for the place.The flat is sea-facing, is 5,000 square feet and spread over two floors. Hence, Aamir tried to buy the entire building where his Pali Hill flat is situated. However, disappointment came his way as the residents of other flats were not ready to sell their flats, even though Aamir offered the handsome deal of Rs 80,000 per sqft to move out. However, the flat owners declined the offer.Hence, the chap was left with no option but to buy another apartment in Carter Road. He is hoping that the new place turns out to be extremely luck for him and his family!Aamir’s upcoming film is Dhoom3, and we hope it break all the previous records at the box-office!

Recently there were rumours that he would cancel an event, as he was stranded in an elevator of a Juhu hotel for 15 minutes, on his way. He was headed for the launch of his music album. People often complained that I never reach the shoot on time but most of the times, I wasn't given the right time! Commitments were made on my behalf without keeping me in the loop. Also few days back, reports made to headlines of him threatening police officers after they asked him to stop his film shoot at Marve Beach without permission. "What can I say, when you are not doing well in life, these controversies keep you alive. This incident did happen. The cops were technically right. It was Ganesh Chaturthi day, aur mera ek shot reh gaya tha. It was 12 noon and to change the location for one shot would have been time consuming so I requested them to let it finish. I told them, 'Aap itne strict kyun hai? Even when I was an MP and a leading hero, maine kabhi bhaav nahi khaya.' It was a request. But we adhered to their decision and shot somewhere else."Hope things get better soon!
