B-town beauty Lara Dutta, who is currently away from Bollywood, so that she could focus on raising her child, is set to put forth her designing skills as she will soon launch her own sari collection. She says that designing is her new baby."I have done films for 10 years. This is something new that I have forayed into; so it's my new baby. I am excited about the response from the customers," said Lara, who was in Delhi to launch her second sari range in association with Chhabra 555. Married to tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, Dutta, 35, started designing last year, and it was then she created a whole line of saris. "The second collection is far more traditional. Personally I am a big fan of Benarasi saris and many other old-age fabrics; so I wanted to make those weaves younger and contemporary. Normally, we associate Benarasi saris with our aunts and our mothers, but I wanted to give it a younger and trendy feel," she said. Even though she is seen less on silver screen nowadays, Lara has no qualms. "I think each thing has its own space in life. I enjoyed being busy. My priority is my daughter. That will always be my number one priority. Now she is getting older, so I am getting more time to celebrate and concentrate on my own work; so here I am promoting the brand as much as possible," she said. Wish you luck!

Actor and anchor Karan Wahi is a busy man nowadays as he has been juggling with juggling between shooting for his upcoming film and hosting the reality show Nach Baliye 6. And recently he made a quick trip to Pink City for some work.Upon his arrival, he said, "I am here just for a day and I don't think I will be able to take out time to explore the city. I will probably have to find time later and come and explore Jaipur."Recalling his first trip to the city, he said, "I think I was in the sixth or the seventh standard when I first came to Jaipur. At that time, I had visited many forts and palaces, but the one place that I remember is Hawa Mahal. After that, for some reason, I haven't been able to make a trip to the city in which I could go around and explore various places. In between, I had come for a day to play a match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the city." In his debut TV show Remix, Karan played a boy from Rajasthan, which was very much evident in his dialogues as well. "My first role was that of a Rajput boy. But at that time, I didn't have to do much research on that character. The channel and the production house had done the research and told me how to portray it. Sajid Nadiadwala has roped in the talented actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, of Gangs of Wasseypur fame, for his upcoming film with Salman Khan, Kick. For the first time, Nawaz would play a powerful role in a out and out commercial film, Kick.There were news that floated media few months back about Randeep Hooda being signed on to play an important role in the movie Kick which is a remake of telugu money-spinner of the same name. The Telugu version had Ravi Tejaa, Ileana and Shaam in the lead roles. The film is about a man (Ravi Tejaa) who robs corrupt politician and business tycoons for the pleasure of his Kick, and a strict no nonsense police officer (Shaam) is assigned to nab him.It is reported that Sajid was keen to cast someone who will be able to perform dramatically. While details are kept under wrap on his character as it's suppose to be surprise but insiders say it's very powerful. According to the original version, only two characters are important in the whole film. The Con-Man and the Cop.Nawazuddin read the script and feel in love with the character. It is also the first time that Nawaz will be working with Sajid Nadiadwala as well as Salman Khan. Earlier to this, he had received a lot of accolades for his performance in Talaash and Lunchbox where he had dabbled into different characters. This would be Nawazuddin Siddiqui's first mainstream break. And that too opposite Salman Khan.

Tinseltown actor Robert Di Niro is seen playing memorable characters like The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. However, when he was quizzed about his real-life heroes, he named out Nelson Mandela, Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi.Niro, 70, is presently in Goa, India, where he will be participating at the ongoing THiNK Fest 2013. Sharing his thoughts, he said, "I have many real life heroes as my inspiration. Mandela, Peres, James Dean, Marlon Brando and from India... Indira Gandhi and Mahatma Gandhi. They are strong people with a big heart," De Niro said on the sidelines of the festival. "I try to be more empathetic towards my characters. I try to understand its position by putting myself in their shoes. I feel I am lucky to get into these lives without having to pay a real price," he added. When confessed that he doesn’t remember his early film days, he said, "I really don't remember..." He also said that he has no idea why he wanted to be in cinema and he started his career at the age of 16. "I dropped out of school and enrolled in Stella Adler's acting school, to the surprise of my friends and family. When she (Stella) asked me why I joined this profession, I didn't have an answer. She answered on my behalf that since I wanted to express myself so I chose this profession. I nodded and repeated the same line," he said. Speaking of Indian trip, he added, "Indian people are very nice. I came here 35 years ago and promised that I will be back in couple of years. I got busy and even tried to come last year. But it didn't happen." Glad you came now!

Canadian porn star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, who is currently busy in shooting for her upcoming film Tina and Lolo, said to get injured doing an action sequence. The film, which is an out-and-out action film, requires both female stars Sunny Leonne and Karishma Tanna to indulge in some heavy duty stunts but one such act went wrong.Sunny Leone escaped with bruised ribs and the doctor advised her to refrain from shooting and rest for a few days. However, she has been reporting for shoot on the sets in Mumbai.The film’s director Devang Dholakia also confirmed the news, saying, “It was unfortunate that Sunny got hurt as utmost care is taken with both the girl's safety while they are doing action scenes. We all are glad that she wasn't hurt badly and admire her professionalism. Both the girls insist on doing their own stunts and so we take extra precautions with them.”The sequence in question required both the girls to jump over a car onto a bunch of baddies who were shooting at them and take them down. While Sunny managed to take her guy down, she landed awkwardly, with her ribs feeling the full force of the action extra's knee.Be careful, Sunny!

I am saying this on the record," Punit said. "I did not have strained relations with anyone, any actor. I am friendly with Sonam. I hope to work with her in future. It is all rubbish. It would be a completely family affair when Shatrughan Sinha’s production house Shotgun Films’ upcoming film to launch his twin sons Luv and Kush Sinha as main lead role. The production house has also signed director Umesh Shukla for its second film that will feature Sonakshi Sinha as its protagonist. The belle, who has already proved her acting powers, is excited about the re-launch of Shotgun Films. “Everybody has their own production house today. Since we have in-house actors, director and producer, it’s all sorted. Dad later went into politics. As kids we knew he was in show business but didn't look beyond that. So it's great that today we three are reviving the banner. Dad's thrilled and proud of us,” Sonakshi beamed.Does it mean the audience will get to see father-daughter sharing screen space in the coming production ventures? Sonakshi says, “I would love to. Young director Punit Malhotra, I Hate Luv Storys fame, is working with filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the second time. He is completing in Karan’s impression and praises him as an easygoing producer.He is collaborated with Karan again for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. Speaking about the work pattern of KJo’s production unit, Punit said, “As a producer Karan is lenient enough to give you whatever you want. The advantage is that he is also a director. As far as the space is concerned, he didn't come on the sets even once. As a producer, he gives you everything you want.”Earlier, Punit has attended Karan as his assistant in his hit film Kal Ho Na Ho and Dostana. About his upcoming directorial, he says GTPM is a wholesome entertainment which pulls a universal audience. But he is not targeting Rs.100-crore marks. “Rs.100 crore depends on a lot of factors. The canvas of the film leads it to that zone. Ours is definitely not in that zone. It's a fun film,” concluded Punit.Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is releasing on November 22 and the lead actors are currently busy in promotional activities. So, it's a dream come true.”Manish, who is sharing a screen space with debutant Elli Avram, further adds that all actors who come to Mumbai aims to do films. “I also had similar dreams when I came to Mumbai in 2005. But I thought I needed grooming.
